Ensures the optimal function of building HVAC/R systems. Manages personnel for facilities repair; ensures all routine preventative maintenance checks are accomplished while maintaining the ability to immediately respond to emergency facility maintenance requirements. Ensures facility requirements are met, in accordance with the PWS. Coordinates and supports customer project requirements. Ensures personnel correctly capture data on maintenance work order requests and preventative maintenance inspection forms for upload into the Maximo database.\nSupervises and coordinates the operations, maintenance and service repairs on air/water cooled chillers, heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems.\nProvides technical guidance to qualified technicians and mechanics performing operation, maintenance, installation and repair of chiller, heating, and air conditioning system repairs to include troubleshooting and diagnostics.\nOversees the installation of new units and replacement parts and ensures work is completed according to company specifications and established safety guidelines.\nShall requisition equipment and repair parts using Maximo.\nResponsible for all work accomplished by the shop.\nPerforms other duties as assigned.\nQualifications\nMinimum Qualifications: Education/Certifications:\nCurrent and valid US driver’s license\nMust be EPA section 608 Universal certified.\nNATE III certification (HVAC service) certification by a nationally recognized certifying organization. Licenses from states or municipalities that require experience and examination similar to level III certification requirements are valid. Certifications at level III shall include multiple areas of competencies and specializations such as: air conditioning, air distribution, air-to-air heat pumps, gas furnaces, light commercial refrigeration, and commercial refrigeration. Any apprenticeship programs shall include both classroom instruction and on-the-job apprenticeships.\nxperience\nMust have at least five (5) years of experience as an HVAC Technician or Mechanic\nMust have at least three (3) years supervisory experience.\nSkills\nKnowledge of competencies and specialization such as: air conditioning, air distribution, air-to-air heat pumps, gas furnaces, light commercial refrigeration, and HVAC/R systems.\nSupervisory Responsibilities\nThis position will supervise all personnel assigned to the HVAC Department.\nOther Requirements\nOvertime and shift work may be required depending on contractual needs.
