This role leads supervisors and managers responsible for production execution and ensures the organization operates to the well-written plan by removing obstacles, resolving priority conflicts, and driving accountability across operations. The Manufacturing Operations Manager serves as the central operational decision authority for the factory floor, enabling supervisors and leaders to execute efficiently while maintaining a culture of trust, accountability, and problem-solving.\nResponsibilities\nMajor Job Activities:\nOperational Execution\nLead daily factory execution across all production areas.\nEnsure production activities align with the approved schedule and operational priorities.\nResolve cross-stream conflicts and resource constraints impacting throughput.\nMaintain clear operational direction for supervisors and managers.\nSchedule and Throughput Performance\nDrive adherence to the production schedule.\nIdentify and remove barriers to throughput.\nEnsure production teams escalate non-workable conditions quickly.\nCoordinate with planning and scheduling to maintain realistic execution plans.\nLeadership and Team Development\nLead supervisors and managers responsible for daily operations.\nBuild an environment of trust where issues are surfaced early and addressed collaboratively.\nProvide coaching and leadership development to front-line leaders.\nMaintain accountability for operational performance while fostering a constructive team culture.\nOperational Decision Authority\nProvide timely decisions when priorities conflict across production areas.\nBalance program priorities, capacity constraints, and operational realities.\nCross-Functional Coordination\nPartner with planning, supply chain, engineering, quality, and depot operations to maintain operational flow.\nEnsure cross-functional issues impacting production are resolved quickly.\nRepresent manufacturing operations in readiness and operational reviews.\nContinuous Improvement\nDrive operational improvements that increase throughput, reduce rework, and improve schedule adherence.\nSupport initiatives that improve factory performance and operational efficiency.\nMaterial & Equipment Directly Used:\nS4/HANA, PowerBI, & Microsoft 365 tools (excel, word, outlook, etc.)\nQualifications\nRequired Skills:\n10+ years of experience in manufacturing or operations leadership.\nExperience leading production teams in complex manufacturing environments.\nDemonstrated ability to manage cross-functional operational challenges.\nStrong operational decision-making and team development skills.\nMust be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.\nDesired Skills:\nCurrent Active DoD Secret or higher security clearance.\nEducation / Certifications:\nBachelor’s degree in STEM, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration or equivalent combination of technical education and significant manufacturing leadership experience.\nAt V2X, we are deeply committed to both equal employment opportunity, including protection for Veterans and individuals with disabilities, and fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace.
