Support during normal working hours may be required (less than 5% of the time).\nResponsibilities\nThe Network Systems Administrator is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and security of the Harpoon Local Area Network (LAN) and computer systems. The Candidate shall perform the following work, listed in the Major Job Activities below:\nUpdate Defender with newest definitions\nScan all systems using Windows Defender to find and quarantine any potential viruses\nBack up and wipe audit logs\nConduct Patch Management\nInstall new Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) plugin files\nDownload and install Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9 (RHEL9) packages\nInstall Windows operating system patches\nInstall program updates\nScan systems with ACAS to find additional vulnerabilities\nMaintain Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)\nUpdate Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) with newest benchmarks and run scans\nRun EVAL-STIG to get a more robust view of the STIGs and the open items\nUpdate Group Policy to include the newest DOD policies\nFix additional found open items\nScan via SCAP to confirm open items have been fixed\nCreate, modify, and deactivate user accounts as necessary\nPerforms other duties and assignments assigned\nProvide Products/Documents/Reports as requested by the PM or the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM)\nMaterial & Equipment Directly Used:\nServers, workstations, switches, printers and Microsoft Office and Adobe products\nQualifications\nEducation Requirement:\nAssociate’s degree in information technology (IT) or a related field required. \n5 Years of experience in lieu of a degree.\n\nCertifications required: The candidate should at a minimum have CompTIA Network+ or Security+. Security+ is preferred.\nExperience/Other Requirements:\nCandidate must have least three (3) years of practical experience working with Windows Server 2012 or higher and RHEL9. \nExpert in the use of Microsoft products- Word, Excel , and Powerpoint.\nBe able to maintain a classified network with little to no supervision after initial training\nMust have a Secret security clearance\nMust be a US Citizen\nPhysical Requirements:\nSedentary work.
