Aligned around a shared purpose, our $4.5B company and 16,000 people work alongside our clients, here and abroad, to tackle their most complex challenges with integrity, respect, responsibility, and professionalism.\nUnder the supervision of the Public Works Manager, the PLC Electrician, Sr is responsible for preventative and corrective maintenance, modifications, and installation of instrumentation and electrical controls and the daily maintenance of water/wastewater treatment equipment, Water distribution related controls, BMS/BAS PLC controls, Power distribution related PLCs and other maintenance activities in support of the LOGCAP contract.\nResponsibilities\nThis position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company.\nMaintains a variety of process instrumentation and electrical controls associated with a water treatment plant and distribution system, sewer lift stations, BMS/BAS Systems, Power plant and power distribution systems.\nMaintains PLCs including modifying and updating programs.\nUnderstands, updates, and creates schematics and drawings for control systems.\nTroubleshoot and repair AC, DC, milliamp, and pneumatic equipment/systems i.e., transducers, analyzers, actuators, motor control centers, secondary circuit breakers, process controls, variable frequency/speed drives, motor & pneumatic operated valves, etc.\nPlans and executes all work in a safe manner at all times.\nMaintains records to reflect work accomplished.\nPerforms other related duties as assigned.\nQualifications\nMinimum Qualifications: Education/Certifications: One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education if degree is required.High school graduate or equivalent required.\nAssociate or Vocational degree in Instrumentation and/or electrical technology preferred.\n\n Licenses/Certifications:Possess a Journeyman Electrician or Master Electrician license.\nPossess a Level 1 (or greater) Water Treatment Operator License preferred.\nMust be a U.S. Citizen\n\n Experience:Two (2) years hands-on experience maintaining and troubleshooting PLCs.\nTwo (2) years hands-on experience in a process plant working on electrical and instrumentation controls.\nFive (5) years of experience working with water treatment equipment preferred\nFormal manufacturer training on GE and Rockwell Automation PLCs preferred.\nThree (3) years working experience with GE and Rockwell Automation PLCs preferred.\nHands-on experience maintaining electrical and instrumentation systems on U.S. Filters and Membrane Systems reverse osmosis units preferred.\n\nSkillsMust be able to read, write and speak fluently.\nAble and willing to perform other duties as needed, as skills and program allow.\nExperience with municipal Water/Wastewater Treatment, as well as some knowledge of Water Distribution systems preferred.\nPrevious experience in a contingency environment is a plus.\nThorough knowledge of electronic analytical devices such as turbidimeters, differential pressure transmitters, flow meters, and chlorine meters is preferred.\nAbility to read, interpret and follow manuals, exploded view diagrams, engineering sketches, charts, and work orders\nAbility to perform mathematical calculations required on the job\nAbility to use logic in troubleshooting problems.\nAbility to successfully plan maintenance projects from start to completion and meet deadlines\n\n Working Conditions:Must be capable of working in an extreme weather conditions with temperatures exceeding 85 degrees Fahrenheit.\nIndoor and/or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions (i.e., hot, wet, tropical environment with average temperatures of 85 degrees in the summer months).\nIncludes some industrial production environment conditions as well.\nThe worker is subject to both environmental conditions. Activities occur inside and outside.\nThe worker is subject to noise.
