Aligned around a shared purpose, our $4.5B company and 16,000 people work alongside our clients, here and abroad, to tackle their most complex challenges with integrity, respect, responsibility, and professionalism.\nUtility Meter Technician Reader performs semi-skilled manual and semi-technical work involving the installation, maintenance, and reading of water and electric meters used by residential and commercial customers requiring physical labor and the use of hand tools and small powered equipment.\nResponsibilities\nResponsibilities include installing, maintaining, testing, repairing, disconnecting, and reading utility meters\nResponsible for the upkeep of assigned PPE, tools, equipment, vehicles etc. and is liable to turn in for scheduled maintenance or when identified faulty.\nResponsible for updating work orders using either a tablet, computer and/or handwritten on paper workorder.\nUpdates included changing the work order status, inputting a log, requesting material and time performance.\nPerforms general housekeeping when working on site.\nMay be required to perform other duties as assigned.\nMay be required to work weekends, holidays, early and late shifts.\nQualifications\nEducation/Certifications:\nMust possess either a valid driver's license issued by their Home of Record (HOR) or a valid Naval Station Guantanamo Bay (NSGB) Base Driver's License.\n\nMust possess a High School Diploma or equivalent\n\nExperience:\nMinimum 2-3 years of relevant work experience in utility meter reading, data collection, field surveys, or a related role\nMust be able to collect data\nMust be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite\nWorking with water and electric meters\nReading utilities maps and ensuring accurate mapping\nSkills:\nDetail orientated\nAbility to read, write, speck English, including taking and providing instructions in English\nMaterial/Equipment:\nComputers\nTablets\nPhone\nTwo- Way Radios\nWorking Conditions:\nActivities occur inside and outside\nExposure to high humidity and temperatures\nIsland environment\nAt V2X, we are deeply committed to both equal employment opportunity, including protection for Veterans and individuals with disabilities, and fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace.
