Through the implementation of modern DevOps practices and automation strategies, the role enables engineering teams to develop, test, and certify products efficiently while meeting the stringent requirements of the aerospace industry.\nSuccess in this position requires a strong combination of cloud architecture expertise, DevOps and platform engineering experience, software development knowledge, understanding of regulated aerospace development processes, and excellent stakeholder management skills.\nWithin the first 12 months, the role is expected to establish a scalable engineering platform used for VÆRIDION’s airborne battery system, automate significant portions of software development and certification workflows, integrate MathWorks and Model-Based Design toolchains into the CI/CD environment, enable automated SIL, PIL, and HIL verification pipelines, establish end-to-end traceability from requirements to verification evidence, and create a robust foundation for future aircraft software certification activities.\nYour Day-to-Day:\nArchitect, implement, and maintain the company's engineering platform.\n\nBuild scalable development environments supporting all engineering disciplines.\n\nAdminister cloud-based infrastructure and services.\n\nEnsure security, availability, backup, disaster recovery, and monitoring.\n\nManage infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) principles.\n\nDrive platform standardization and self-service capabilities for engineering teams.\n\nDesign and maintain CI/CD pipelines for software, models, simulations, and test artifacts.\n\nAutomate build, verification, validation, deployment, and reporting processes.\n\nImplement automated quality gates and traceability workflows.\n\nIntroduce DevOps best practices across the organization.\n\nSupport release management and configuration management processes.\n\nIntegrate MathWorks toolchains into the development lifecycle.\n\nConnect model-generated code with software repositories.\n\nAutomate model verification, code generation, testing, and reporting activities.\n\nSupport compliance-oriented development processes.\n\nBuild tooling and workflows supporting aviation standards and certification activities.\n\nAutomate traceability between requirements, models, source code, test cases, and verification evidence.\n\nSupport development processes aligned with standards such as DO-178C and DO-330.\n\nGenerate and maintain certification evidence through automated workflows.\n\nAct as the primary interface between Engineering and Corporate IT.\n\nAlign engineering tooling with cybersecurity and IT governance requirements.\n\nSupport engineering teams in adopting new workflows and tools.\n\nFocus predominantly on the Technology division, supporting the vertically integrated development of the Propulsion Battery System.\n\nWork closely with software, systems, battery, controls, and certification engineers.\n\nProvide technical leadership regarding development infrastructure and automation.\n\nYour Profile:\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.\n\nMore than 5 years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Software Infrastructure.\n\nExperience in safety-critical or regulated industries, such as aerospace, automotive, medical devices, railway, or industrial automation.\n\nExperience building engineering platforms from the ground up (desirable).\n\nHands-on experience with CI/CD technologies: Git, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins and Docker.\n\nStrong scripting and development skills in Python, Bash, and PowerShell.\n\nExperience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and Datadog.\n\nWorking knowledge of security and compliance practices, including Identity and Access Management (IAM), secrets management, vulnerability scanning, and DevSecOps practices.\n\nKnowledge of cybersecurity requirements for aviation systems (desirable).\n\nExperience with one or more verification and test automation environments: Speedgoat, Simulink Real-Time, Jenkins-based test orchestration or Python-based test frameworks.\n\nFamiliarity with test and validation technologies, including SIL (Software-in-the-Loop), PIL (Processor-in-the-Loop), HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop), continuous verification and validation, automated regression testing, test management and reporting, and requirements traceability.\n\nHands-on experience with the MathWorks toolchain: MATLAB, Simulink, Stateflow, Embedded Coder, Simulink Test, Simulink Coverage, Polyspace, Requirements Toolbox, MATLAB Test, and System Composer.\n\nExperience with Model-Based Development (MBD) and automatic code generation.\n\nExperience with MBSE and SysML (desirable).\n\nExperience with DO-178C compliant software development (desirable).\n\nExperience
