Data Scientist (GenAI focus)

In this role, you will translate business requirements into analytical use cases (generative AI and machine learning) and drive innovation and efficiency across the Vaillant Group.
You will effectively analyze business use cases regarding feasibility and effort estimation based on the Vaillant data model, including data quality and necessary preprocessing steps.
You will apply state-of-the-art machine learning and AI techniques and advanced statistical methods to achieve company goals.
In addition, you will critically evaluate ML/AI solutions and analyses using metrics to validate the achievement of business objectives and recommend improvements.
You will communicate results with cross-functional project members and stakeholders, using clear presentations and understandable visualizations of insights.
Finally, you will utilize cloud services and self-programmed (Python) applications to develop production-ready AI/ML solutions.
What makes us successful together
Qualification: You have a Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Bioinformatics, or other quantitative fields with AI/ML relation.
Experience: You bring more than 4 years of professional experience in the field of Data Science/Data Analytics with a proven track record in Data Science projects.
Know-how and skills: You have excellent programming skills (in Python); visualization of complex data; experience with cloud services and Data Science-related components (especially in Microsoft Azure).
Nice to have: You have experience with Generative AI (GenAI) or AI agents would be a plus.
Personality: You are a team player, curious, with initiative and motivation to work in an agile and interdisciplinary environment.
Language skills: You are fluent in English; German language skills would be a plus.
