It offers a broad range of accurate and reliable measurement instruments based on the cutting-edge technology to help our customers optimize their processes, improve efficiency, minimize energy consumption, and ensure the high quality of their end-products.\nWhy Join Us?\nWe are seeking a Business Development Manager with deep expertise in critical power infrastructure to join our North American Power sales team to drive growth and expand our market presence within the data center industry. This is a fully remote role, open to candidates anywhere in the U.S., with up to 50% travel expectations. In this role, you will leverage your industry knowledge to position our advanced power monitoring instruments as mission-critical tools for protecting the power infrastructure that keeps data centers online.\nWhat's your role?\nStrategic Planning and Market Analysis:\nDevelop and execute sales strategies to achieve company revenue targets and expand our client base within the data center power infrastructure sector. \nConduct thorough market research to identify potential clients, industry trends, and the competitive landscape across the data center and critical power supply chain (hyperscalers, colocation providers, utilities, and EPC firms). \nClient Acquisition:\nIdentify, target, and acquire new clients among data center operators, hyperscalers, colocation providers, and the utilities/EPCs that build and power their campuses. \nBuild and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders - including facilities, electrical engineering, and reliability teams - within target organizations. \nLead and manage the entire sales cycle, from initial contact to sales negotiations and closure, working together with the Power and Industrial sales teams. \nNetworking and Relationship Building:\nAttend industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to promote our products and services and establish industry connections. \nDevelop and nurture long-term relationships with clients to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business. \nProposal and Presentation Development:\nPrepare and deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and product and technology demonstrations to prospective clients. \nCollaborate with the global marketing team to develop sales materials, case studies, and other promotional content. \nCollaboration and Team Leadership:\nWork closely with the global product management and development, regional marketing, and customer support teams to ensure alignment and support for business development activities. \nWork in tandem with the regional sales managers and inside sales to ensure execution of customer needs and solutions. \nPerformance Tracking and Reporting:\nMonitor and report on sales metrics, pipeline status, and business development activities. \nAnalyze and assess the effectiveness of business development strategies and make data-driven recommendations for improvement. \nWhat will you bring?\nEducation:\nBachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field (Master's or MBA preferred). \nExperience:\nMinimum of 5 years of experience in the electrical utility industry, or commercial infrastructure sector, with experience in business development and sales. \nExperience working with utilities, data center operators, EPCs, or power equipment manufacturers. \nKnowledge of industry standards and regulations relevant to power transformers, switchgear, and facility reliability. \nExperience selling precision instrumentation or condition-monitoring solutions; global account management experience a plus. \nDesired Skills:\nStrong understanding of power transformer health monitoring, dissolved gas analysis (DGA), and moisture-in-oil measurement. \nFamiliarity with medium voltage systems, BESS, or critical electrical infrastructure is a strong plus. \nUnderstanding of data center uptime/reliability requirements and how power asset failures translate to outage risk. \nProven track record of building strategic relationships and achieving sales growth in a technical B2B environment. \nExcellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. \nWillingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed. \nANTICIPATED SALARY RANGE: $140,000-170,000 annually with an annual sales bonus plan. Salary is determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
