Together with the team, you will have an excellent opportunity to ensure the quality and reliability of Vaisala’s global supplier base across the full supply chain. The role combines commercial, technical and quality perspectives, including stakeholder influencing, supplier collaboration, audits and continuous improvement. In this role, you will be working in close co-operation with Sourcing teams and Vaisala Factories. You will report to Senior Manager, Supplier Quality.\nYour responsibilities include:\nOwn the category quality strategy, roadmap, targets and KPIs, and lead its execution with internal stakeholders and strategic partners\nDrive the quality performance of strategic and critical suppliers through monitoring, corrective actions and training\nLead ISO 9001 and VDA 6.2 audits, and make sure suppliers comply with quality and product standards (e.g. ATEX)\nManage supplier risks related to quality, availability, sustainability and safety\nLead quality holds, supplier containments and 8D root cause investigations\nLead Material Review Board investigations of non-conforming material\nSet quality requirement for Critical-to-Quality components with project teams and suppliers\nDrive supplier quality improvements before product release, and audit new suppliers\nOwn and develop Supplier Quality processes, and lead improvement projects and PDCAs\nCoach junior team members and stakeholders\nWhat will you bring?\nB.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in technology, engineering or supply chain manager\n5+ years of experience in supplier quality management, supplier management or quality management\nISO 9001 lead auditor training of equivalent work experience (IRCA certified training preferred), ISO 14001 auditor training seen as an advantage\nSix Sigma Green Belt training, black belt considered as an advantage\nExperience in supplier collaboration\nKnowledge of electronics and / or mechanic supply networks in industrial setting\nAnalytical and systematic problem-solving skills, including 8D or similar methods\nKnowledge of relevant industry standards and tools\nGood interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to coach and influence others\nAbility and willingness to travel\nFluent written and spoken English; Chinese, French and Finnish are considered as an advantage\nCuriosity and a growth mindset to explore, learn, and apply AI tools in your daily work.
