The team ensures secure, reliable, and scalable technology solutions that support every function across the company.\nThe Role\nWe are looking for a versatile IT Engineer to support our users and infrastructure across a mixed Mac, Windows, and mobile environment. This role blends hands-on help desk support with Tier 2 systems administration and network troubleshooting. You will be the go-to technical resource onsite, working independently to resolve issues, maintainsystems, and keep our hardware and software assets accurately managed. You will also partner with cross-functional teams to support business operations and ongoing IT initiatives. \nKey Responsibilities \n\nHelp Desk & End-User Support \nProvide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for macOS and Windows laptops, including hardware, software, and connectivity issues. \nSupport iOS and Android mobile devices, including enrollment, configuration, and troubleshooting. \nTroubleshoot and support Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft 365 applications. \nManage user MFA setup and issues with Microsoft Authenticator.\nOnboard and offboard users, including account provisioning, device setup, and access removal. \nSystems Administration \nLight administer Microsoft Intune for Windows and mobile device management, compliance policies, and application deployment. \nLight administer Addigy and/or Jamf for macOS device management, configuration profiles, patching, and software distribution. \nLight Manage identities, groups, conditional access, and access policies in Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD). \nSupport and maintain resources in Microsoft Azure and AWS GovCloud environments. \nPerform Tier 2 systems administration tasks including patching, monitoring, backups, and performance troubleshooting. \nNetwork Support \nPerform Tier 2 network troubleshooting, including LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, DNS, DHCP, and switching/routing issues. \nDiagnose connectivity problems and escalate to vendors or senior engineers when appropriate. \nAsset & Software Asset Management \nMaintain accurate inventory of hardware assets throughout their lifecycle, from procurement and deployment to reallocation and disposal. \nManage software asset management (SAM), including license tracking, compliance, renewals, and usage optimization. \nKeep asset records and documentation current and audit-ready. \nCollaboration & Independence \nWork with cross-functional teams to support projects, business needs, and technology rollouts. \nOperate independently as the primary onsite IT resource, prioritizing and managing workload with minimal supervision. \nCreate and maintain documentation, knowledge base articles, and standard operating procedures. \nBasic Qualifications \n\nAt least 4 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or a related role. \nHands-on experience supporting both macOS and Windows endpoints. \nExperience with Microsoft Intune and Addigy and/or Jamf. \nExperience supporting iOS and Android devices in a managed environment. \nWorking knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, Azure, and AWS GovCloud. \nTier 2 network troubleshooting skills. \nExperience with Microsoft Outlook/Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Authenticator. \nExperience with hardware and software asset management. \nStrong communication skills and the ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams. \nAbility to work onsite full-time in Orangeville, Utah. \nPreferred Skills and Experience\nCompTIA Security+ certification. \nCisco CCNA certification. \nCybersecurity or IT experience gained in the U.S. Air Force or U.S. Navy. \nWhat We Offer \nCompetitive base salary \nEquity ownership in a rapidly growing advanced energy company \nComprehensive medical benefits \nUnlimited PTO\nFree daily lunch \nGenerous PPE stipend\nHigh-impact startup environment with significant ownership and autonomy \nOpportunities for rapid career growth and internal advancement \nDirect collaboration with experienced operators, engineers, and industry leaders \nThe opportunity to help build and scale transformative energy technology from the ground up\nEqual Employment Opportunity Statement\nValar Atomics is an equal opportunity employer.
