The team manages planning, execution, and delivery of complex capital projects while ensuring quality, safety, and operational readiness.\nThe Role\nValar Atomics is seeking an experienced Senior Scheduler to develop, maintain, and coordinate schedules across manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, and program activities. The Scheduler will be responsible for translating project and production requirements into actionable schedules, tracking progress, identifying constraints and risks, and working cross-functionally to keep critical activities on schedule.\nThe ideal candidate has 5-7 years of experience in production scheduling, project scheduling, manufacturing planning, or project controls and is comfortable working in a fast-moving, high-mix manufacturing environment.\nKey Responsibilities \n\nDevelop and maintain detailed production, manufacturing, and project schedules.\n\nCoordinate schedules across Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, Procurement, and Operations.\n\nEstablish activity sequences, dependencies, milestones, durations, and resource requirements.\n\nTrack actual progress against baseline schedules and identify schedule variances.\n\nMonitor critical-path activities and proactively identify potential delays and constraints.\n\nWork with manufacturing and engineering teams to understand capacity, labor, equipment, material, and technical constraints.\n\nDevelop short-term look-ahead schedules and longer-term production plans.\n\nCoordinate material availability and supplier commitments with the production schedule.\n\nIdentify schedule conflicts and work with stakeholders to develop mitigation and recovery plans.\n\nMaintain accurate schedule data and provide regular status updates to project and functional leadership.\n\nSupport production planning for prototype, development, and production hardware.\n\nIncorporate engineering changes, procurement status, manufacturing readiness, and quality requirements into schedules.\n\nParticipate in cross-functional planning and production meetings.\n\nDevelop schedule reports, dashboards, forecasts, and performance metrics for leadership.\n\nSupport what-if analysis and scenario planning to evaluate schedule impacts.\n\nMaintain schedule integrity and ensure changes are properly documented and communicated.\n\nHelp establish scalable scheduling processes and standards as the organization grows.\n\nIdentify opportunities to improve planning, scheduling, and cross-functional coordination processes.\n\nBasic Qualifications \n\n5-7 years of experience in scheduling, production planning, project controls, manufacturing planning, or a related field.\n\nBachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Construction Management, Business, or a related discipline; equivalent experience may be considered.\n\nStrong understanding of scheduling concepts, dependencies, critical paths, milestones, and schedule forecasting.\n\nExperience working in a manufacturing, engineering, aerospace, energy, industrial, or other complex technical environment.\n\nStrong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and scheduling/planning tools.\n\nAbility to analyze large amounts of information and translate it into clear schedules and actionable priorities.\n\nExcellent communication and coordination skills.\n\nStrong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a rapidly changing environment.\n\nAbility to work effectively with engineers, technicians, manufacturing personnel, supply chain teams, and leadership.\n\nPreferred Skills and Experience\nExperience with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or similar scheduling platforms.\n\nExperience with ERP/MRP systems and production planning.\n\nExperience in high-mix, low-volume manufacturing.\n\nExperience scheduling complex assemblies, hardware, or engineered products.\n\nKnowledge of capacity planning, material requirements, and resource-loaded scheduling.\n\nExperience with critical-path analysis and schedule recovery planning.\n\nExperience working with engineering change orders and configuration-controlled products.\n\nExperience in aerospace, nuclear, energy, defense, advanced manufacturing, or another highly regulated technical environment.\n\nPMP, PMI-SP, AACE, or other relevant certification is a plus.\n\nWhat We Offer \nCompetitive base salary \nEquity ownership in a rapidly growing advanced energy company \nComprehensive medical benefits \nUnlimited PTO\nFree daily lunch \nGenerous PPE stipend\nHigh-impact startup environment with significant ownership and autonomy \nOpportunities for rapid career growth and internal advancement \nDirect collaboration with experienced operators, engineers, and industry leaders \nThe opportunity to help build and scale transformative energy technology from the ground up\nEqual Employment Opportunity Statement\nValar Atomics is an equal opportunity employer.
