These include:\nensuring that the company’s products conform to all specifications and customer requirements,\ndirecting/overseeing activities associated with maintaining all company certifications, and all external agency approvals such as AS9100D and ISO9001 certifications, NADCAP.\noverseeing configuration management, and quality assurance processes. \nServing as the interface with customers and vendors on quality related topics. \nEssential functions and Responsibilities \nPerform root cause analysis (8D,5 Whys) of identified issues and identify appropriate corrective and preventive action.\nParticipate in cross-functional teams in the investigation and elimination of causes of quality problems and verify effectiveness on corrective actions (Corrective Action Board).\nInterface directly with customers to provide the best customer quality experience.\nPerform audits as required to assure compliance with regulatory, customer, and internal requirements.\nReview and assure compliance with customer blueprints, specifications and other technical and quality system documents including Purchase Orders.\nWork closely with Product and Manufacturing engineering, Manufacturing and inspection personnel on procedural problems involving design, methods, tooling, costs and other areas involved in control of product quality.\nAs required review raw material certification and review/approve raw material released for production.\nOversee critical testing and inspection procedures and coordinate inspections with customers and inspectors; analyze and document results.\nInvestigate customer complaints on product quality and work closely with customer’s representatives to resolve problems.\nEnsure that the company’s products conform to all specifications and customer requirements.\nBecome Delegated Quality Representative (Ref. AS13001) for selected customers.\nResponsible for assuring that customer quality requirements have been adequately defined to permit appropriate quality planning and implementation and that the quality requirements have been met.\nFacilitate the use of LEAN/ Six Sigma, and other quality tools for quality and process improvement.\nPrepare and review product data package.\nEstablish and provide written procedures for quality assurance activities as related to product manufactured.\nParticipate in review and disposition or nonconforming materials.\nParticipate in customer audits and source inspections.\nReviews product and documentation in accordance with applicable customer, regulatory, military, and industry specifications.\nTroubleshoot problems in-house and also those reported by customers including field returns as required and as they occur.\nReview and approve component and final products FAI’s\nSupport in-process product reviews.\nCertifications, Inspection and Audit:oversee the activities associated with maintaining company certifications as well as external agency & customer approvals such as, but not limited to AS9100D, ISO9001, NADCAP. \nEvaluate, develop and maintain activities required to audit quality effectiveness, including the planning and execution of programs of audits; procedure audits; quality-systems audits, and product audits.\n\nEducation and Skills Requirements\n4 year technical degree or equivalent, prefer Mechanical Engineering\n4-8 years experience in various phases of Quality Assurance or equivalent in Aerospace, Defense, or Nuclear Power generation environments\nMust be mobile, capable of communicating with plant personnel at all levels \nExcellent written and oral communication skills; composing written reports and other communications\nSuperior analytical skills, capable of using current computer analysis tools (Microsoft Office, plus others applicable programs) \nAll candidates must meet the US persons criteria.\nPlease note: The salary range is based on our market pay structure.
