We invite you to put your skills to work, driving meaningful and enduring change while enjoying a rewarding career.\nThe Opportunity\nWe are currently seeking Geophysics co-op students to join our Exploration and Mineral Projects team in Sudbury, Ontario.\nThe role is on-site and a 4 to 16 month fixed term position starting in January or May 2027. This posting is for an existing position vacancy.\nAs a Geophysics student, you’ll work closely with members from the exploration, geophysics and geology team to support geophysical field work, data compilation, data processing, and data interpretation related to active exploration programs.\nAdditionally, in this position you will:\nAttend and participate in regular safety line up meetings, monthly safety meetings, and required safety training.\nAssist in the planning and execution of geophysical field work.\nCollect and compile geophysical data during office studies and field surveys; organize and conduct further routine geophysics data processing as warranted and monitor the progress of such work with respect to schedules.\nParticipate in the maintenance and upkeep of geophysical survey databases and GIS projects.\nAssist more senior personnel in carrying out technical tasks requiring adherence to prescribed and accepted geophysical procedures.\nPrepare written, oral, or graphical reports and presentations summarizing and communicating results, observations and any recommendations for follow-up.\nWhat We Offer You\nCompetitive compensation\nFlexible work arrangements\nWork culture dedicated to safety, diversity & inclusion, and career growth\nOnline training and career development opportunities\nOpportunities to build your network and lots of fun!\nAbout You\nEducation:\nCurrently enrolled in your second year or higher in a Geology, Geophysics or Geological Engineering bachelor's degree program\nStudents enrolled in Master's or PhD programs are also welcome to apply\nSkills:\nMust be physically capable of participating in field programs\nBasic proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 products; Teams, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook\nStrong communication skills\nFamiliarity with geophysical software is considered an asset, but is not required\nProgramming experience is considered an asset, but is not required\nWhy Sudbury\nGreater Sudbury is a vibrant city in northeastern Ontario, renowned for its rich mining history and significant role in Canada's mineral production.
