We invite you to put your skills to work, driving meaningful and enduring change while enjoying a rewarding career.\nThe Opportunity\nWe are currently seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Planner to join our Central Shop Maintenance Team in Long Harbour, NL.\nThis is a permanent on-site position, working a 4x10s Monday to Thursday schedule at our Long Harbour Operations Site.\nAs a Mechanical Maintenance Planner, you will support a diverse range of Central Shop activities, including mechanical equipment repair, machining, welding and fabrication, FRP repair, protective coatings, and other maintenance support activities.\nAdditionally, in this position you will:\nDevelop work packages that identify job scope, labour requirements, materials, tools, drawings, inspection requirements, supporting documentation, and estimated durations.\nCoordinate job readiness activities to help ensure materials, services, tools, permits, drawings, and required documentation are available prior to execution.\nPrepare and follow up on material and service requirements in coordination with procurement and warehouse personnel.\nSupport planning for mechanical repairs and machine shop activities, including CNC and conventional machining, welding, fabrication, FRP repair, protective coating, and other Central Shop work scopes.\nCreate and maintain work order information, task lists, planned labour hours, material requirements, and completion information within SAP.\nMaintain planning documentation, equipment information, drawings, repair records, and other information required to support future maintenance activities. \nWhat We Offer You\nCompetitive compensation including a variable annual incentive plan\nParticipation in a competitive Defined Contribution Pension package\nComprehensive benefits package (company paid core coverage, health and dental coverage, flex accounts, disability plans and optional insurances)\nLeave for all of life’s reasons (vacation, personal, sick, parental) \nWork culture dedicated to safety, diversity & inclusion, and career growth\nEmployee Family Assistance Program\nVirtual Healthcare online\nOnline training and career development opportunities\nRelocation Assistance \nA Bus Service departing from the St. John’s vicinity \nAbout You\nEducation:\nPost secondary education is required. Preference may be given to a Bachelor of Engineering Degree or Engineering Technologist Diploma. \nAn Interprovincial Red Seal may be considered.\n\nA Project Management Professional (PMP) designation would be considered an asset. \nExperience:\nMinimum 5 years of work experience in relevant industrial, maintenance, engineering, reliability, project, or planning experience. \nPrevious experience developing knowledge of maintenance planning, job scoping, scheduling, materials coordination, and work management would be considered an asset. \nPrevious exposure to machining, welding/fabrication, mechanical repair, inspection, reliability, or similar industrial activities would be an asset.\nSkills:\nUnderstanding of mechanical equipment, drawings, maintenance activities, or industrial work execution.\nStrong organizational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple work scopes and priorities.\nGood communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with trades personnel, supervisors, engineers, operations, contractors, procurement, and other stakeholders.\nFamiliarity with SAP or another computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).\nA strong commitment to safe work practices and continuous improvement.\nWhy Newfoundland and Labrador\nNewfoundland and Labrador, Canada's easternmost province, is known for its rugged coastline, rich cultural heritage, and significant natural resources.
