We invite you to use your skills with us and contribute to something meaningful and enduring.\nThe Opportunity\nWe are currently seeking Mining Engineering Co-op Students to join our Mines Technical Services Department in Sudbury, Ontario.\nThis is a 4 to 16 month fixed term position starting in January 2027 or May 2027. Please be clear in your application which start date you are looking for.\nAs a Mining Engineering Co-op Student, you will undertake the duties required to assist the overall engineering planning, design & ventilation design for our Mines Technical Services Department\nAdditionally, in this position you will:\nFollow Vale's Safety Policies, Programs and Legilative Standards. \nDevelop skills and abilities related to the provision of engineering to Ontario Operations.\nEnsure compliance to the applicable regulations, standards and guidelines.\nUtilize good engineering practices while minimizing costs.\nProvide technical support to enable safe and cost-effective operations.\nMonitor process parameters and communicate changes outside normal operational conditions to supervisor.\nComplete assigned projects safely and on time.\nAbout You\nEducation:\nCurrently enrolled and in good standing in a Mining Co-operative Engineering program.\nSkills:\nKnowledge and experience in Windows based applications and Microsoft.\nOrganizational, interpersonal communication, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and a proven safety record.\nAbility to work with minimal supervision and work well with others in a team environment.\nMaintain a high level of professional conduct.\nMust be obsessed with safety and risk.\nWhat We Offer You\nCompetitive compensation.\nWork culture dedicated to safety, diversity & inclusion, and career growth.\nOnline training and career development opportunities.\nOpportunities to build your network and lots of fun!\nAll Personal Protective Equipment is provided upon hire.
