This role will help ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timely processing of financial transactions while contributing to the overall efficiency of accounting operations. The position reports directly to the Accounting Manager and is a six-month temporary assignment based in-office five days per week.\nWhat We Offer\nCompetitive hourly pay of $28-$30 per hour\nExposure to a dynamic, fast-paced luxury retail environment\nOpportunity to gain hands-on experience across multiple accounting functions\nCollaborative team environment with direct partnership and mentorship from accounting leadership\nKey Responsibilities:\nPerform bank reconciliations and maintain cash accounts.\nReconcile and record concession settlements and other cash-related transactions.\nReconcile store credits, sales deposits, and related accounts.\nInvestigate and resolve chargebacks, payment disputes, and fraud issues.\nReconcile intercompany accounts receivable and payable balances.\nReconcile balance sheet accounts.\nAssist with fixed asset accounting and journal entries.\nSupport monthly sales tax filings and compliance requirements.\nSupport month-end and year-end close processes.\nParticipate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.\nRequirements:\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field\n3+ years of corporate accounting experience\n1+ years of SAP experience required\nProficiency in MS Office (Excel & Outlook)\nKnowledge of general accounting principles, regulatory standards, and compliance requirements\nStrong interpersonal skills for interacting with intercompany, upper management, and external auditors/vendors\nHigh degree of accuracy, attention to detail and confidentiality\nEffective verbal, listening and written communication skills\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with hands-on approach\nGood presentation skills for educating team members on accounting principles\nExcellent planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team to ensure that all job functions are performed in a timely and efficient manner\nHOW WE ARE\nThe Valentino ecosystem is home to a wide and extraordinary pool of talents, each colleague contributing with their unique attributes, nurturing a culture of inclusivity and equality.
