To learn more about Valeris, please visit www.valeris.com.\nThe Financial Analyst supports the financial performance of customer programs through data analysis, reporting, billing review, and account reconciliation. This role connects information across systems, investigates differences, and explains findings clearly to Finance and operational partners. The analyst helps ensure financial activity is accurate, well supported, and useful for business decisions.\nKey Responsibilities:\nFinancial Analysis & Reporting\nAnalyze financial and operational data to identify trends, explain variances, and provide practical recommendations.\nPrepare recurring and ad hoc reports on revenue, receivables, cash activity, and customer program performance.\nDevelop clear analyses and reporting tools that help stakeholders understand results and make informed decisions.\nBilling & Account Reconciliation\nReview billing and related activity for accuracy and completeness; investigate discrepancies from source data through resolution.\nReconcile balances and transactions across reports, customer records, and the general ledger, maintaining clear support for conclusions.\nMonitor open items and work with internal partners to resolve financial questions in a timely manner.\nMonth-End & Financial Controls\nSupport month-end close through account reconciliations, accruals, journal entries, and supporting schedules.\nAssist with revenue and deferred revenue analysis and reconciliations as needed.\nMaintain reliable documentation and follow established financial controls and approval processes.\nCollaboration & Improvement\nPartner with Finance, Client Services, and Operations to understand business activity and its financial impact.\nInterpret relevant contract terms and business processes to support accurate billing and reporting.\nIdentify ways to improve data quality, reporting, and the efficiency of financial processes.\nQualifications:\nRequired\nBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.\nAt least 3 years of experience in financial analysis, financial operations, or a related finance role.\nStrong analytical skills, including the ability to work with large datasets, investigate differences, and explain findings.\nAdvanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis.\nClear communication, sound judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.\nPreferred\nExperience with billing, receivables, reconciliations, or month-end reporting.\nExperience with ERP systems, reporting tools, or process improvement.\nFamiliarity with GAAP and revenue recognition principles.\nPhysical Demands & Work Environment\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit for long periods of time, use hands to type, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Prefer candidates who can type at least 35 words per minute with 97% accuracy.\n\nAlthough very minimal, flexibility to travel as needed is preferred.\n\nThis job operates in a professional office environment.
