As an IT Intern, you will work closely with our senior developers and technical team to design, develop, test, and maintain software applications. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with foundational programming skills who is eager to grow and learn in a dynamic, collaborative environment.\nKey Responsibilities:\n· Learn all facets of the day-to-day operations of the area within the area to which they are assigned. This may include software development, database maintenance, help desk support, information security, and more\n· Write code, make database changes, and fix issues, depending on your assigned area\n· Develop and demonstrate an analytical approach to problems solving in order to achieve the goals of the assigned team\n· Gain exposure to facets of the development process and the requirements that must be met\n· Produce good documentation on changes being made\n· Work cross-functionally on projects that improve your technical skills, leadership, analytical skills, and project management\n· Learn how to operate in a professional environment, including appropriate email and meeting etiquette, which form of communication to choose for what purpose, etc\n· Set goals and objectives for your apprenticeship rotation with your assigned leader and schedule regular feedback sessions\n· Assist your team in development and execution of projects\nAssist in the design, development, and maintenance of web and mobile applications\nWrite clean, scalable, and efficient code under the guidance of senior developers \nTroubleshoot and resolve bugs, issues, and bottlenecks in the application \nParticipate in code reviews and contribute ideas for continuous improvement \nCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including UI/UX designers, product managers, and QA engineers \nStay up-to-date with new technology trends and best practices in software development \nUtilize Valeris’ values as the driving force behind the team’s success\nOn time adherence to training deadlines for all corporate policies and procedures\nEnsure all SOPs are followed with consistency\nPerform additional tasks or projects as assigned\nQualifications:\nProblem-solving skills and attention to detail \nAbility to work both independently and as part of a team \nStrong communication and collaboration skills \nInternship or project experience in application development \nFamiliarity with Agile development methodologies\nExperience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is a plus \nAs a plus exposure to CI/CD tools and practices \nPhysical Demands & Work Environment\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit for long periods of time, use hands to type, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
