This position requires a high degree of professionalism, diligence, and a commitment to quality care. Technicians will engage directly with patients, providers, and prescribers to facilitate prescription processing and ensure regulatory compliance. The technician must be comfortable operating within a fast-paced environment and demonstrate a proactive approach to resolving issues and maintaining high service standards.\nPrescription & Patient Support\nAccurately enter and process new and refill prescriptions in pharmacy management systems.\n\nContact patients and prescribers to collect missing information.\n\nRespond to inbound calls and make outbound calls to support patient care and pharmacy services.\n\nReport drug adverse events to internal systems and client portals.\n\nDemonstrate discretion in handling protected health information (PHI) and maintain patient confidentiality.\n\nDispensing & Order Fulfillment\nManually dispense oral medications, liquid medications, and medical supplies according to protocols.\n\nVerify prescription accuracy and completeness prior to fulfillment.\n\nCount, label, and pack medications and supplies for shipment within required time limits.\n\nOperate or assist with pharmacy automation systems and fulfillment technology.\n\nInventory & Equipment Management\nMaintain and replenish dispensing units and inventory levels.\n\nRemove expired or recalled medications from circulation.\n\nSupport receiving processes and monitor storage conditions to ensure regulatory compliance.\n\nReplenish shipping and production supplies as needed.\n\nSystems & Documentation\nNavigate pharmacy systems to confirm, document, and reconcile orders.\n\nEnsure compliance with internal SOPs, accreditation standards, and regulatory requirements.\n\nMaintain accurate records and documentation to support audits and operational reviews.\n\nTeam Collaboration\nWork cross-functionally with pharmacists, technicians, hub personnel, and fulfillment teams.\n\nParticipate in training, quality checks, and continuous improvement initiatives.\n\nAssist in onboarding and mentoring new technicians as appropriate.\n\nThe duties and responsibilities outlined above may vary depending on the position and business needs, and the Company reserves the right to modify or assign additional tasks as required.\nRequired Qualifications\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent (required).\n\nUnrestricted Pharmacy Technician Trainee License - Arizona Location (required).\n\nNational Pharmacy Technician Certification (preferred).\n\n1+ years of pharmacy experience (retail, hospital, or specialty preferred).\n\nMust pass background check and drug screening prior to employment.\n\nMust be able to work on-site 2-5 days per week, depending on operational needs and job responsibilities.\n\nPreferred Skills & Attributes\nStrong attention to detail with high levels of accuracy in data entry and order processing.\n\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\n\nProficient in navigating Windows-based systems and pharmacy platforms.\n\nAbility to multitask in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.\n\nService-oriented mindset with professionalism and empathy.\n\nAdaptability to shifting priorities and new technologies.\n\nAbility to handle confidential information with integrity.\n\nAbility to lift/move packages and perform physical duties as needed.\n\nAbility to sit or stand for up to 8 hours.\n\nThe ability to type 35 WPM with 97% accuracy is preferred for certain job responsibilities.\n\nWork Schedule & Location Notes\nStandard hours of operation vary by location. Shifts are assigned based on business need and may rotate between morning, mid-day, and evening coverage as needed to fit operational needs.\nTechnicians should be flexible to work extended hours or adjusted shifts during peak volume periods or when client expectations require additional support. Opportunities for cross-training and upskilling within pharmacy functions are available for high-performing team members.\nPhysical Demands & Work Environment\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit for long periods of time, use hands to type, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Prefer candidates who can type at least 35 words per minute with 97% accuracy.\n\nAlthough very minimal, flexibility to travel as needed is preferred.\n\nThis job operates in a professional office environment.
