This role will troubleshoot hardware issues, lead root-cause analysis, support manufacturing and suppliers, manage engineering changes, and drive improvements in reliability, quality, cost, manufacturability, and serviceability. The ideal candidate is a practical problem solver who can work independently across electrical and mechanical disciplines in a fast-paced, startup-style environment. \nQUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. \nRESPONSIBILITIES: \n-Understand company Mission, Vision, and Values and be an ambassador of MVV. \n-Support sustaining engineering for gaming machines, including cabinets, displays, button decks, power systems, motherboards, lighting, audio, wiring, cooling, and electromechanical assemblies. \n-Troubleshoot and resolve electrical, mechanical, thermal, manufacturing, and field issues. \n-Lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions for production and field failures. \n-Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, CAD drawings, and BOMs. \n-Support ECO/ECN, BOM changes, component substitutions, and engineering documentation. \n-Work directly with suppliers and contract manufacturers to resolve technical and quality issues. \n-Support production builds, validation, qualification, reliability testing, and manufacturing ramp-up. \n-Evaluate alternate components and suppliers for cost, quality, availability, and obsolescence. \n-Support UL, FCC, EMC, Canadian, GLI, and other applicable compliance activities. \n-Provide technical support to Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Field Service, and Operations. \n-Drive continuous improvements in product reliability, manufacturability, serviceability, and cost. \n-Travel periodically to suppliers, manufacturing facilities, testing laboratories, and field locations as applicable. \nREQUIREMENTS: \n-Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Electromechanical Engineering, or related field. \n-2+ years of hardware, sustaining, product, or manufacturing engineering experience. \n-Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical hardware systems. \n-Hands-on troubleshooting experience with electronic and electromechanical products. \n-Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, and BOMs. \n-Experience with root-cause analysis and corrective action. \n-Familiarity with engineering change processes. \n-Experience using basic engineering test equipment such as DMMs and oscilloscopes. \n-Strong communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.\nPreferred Requirements: \n-Experience with slot machines, gaming equipment, casino technology, kiosks, amusement equipment, or similar products. \n-Class II/Class III gaming experience. \n-Familiarity with UL, FCC, EMC, and GLI requirements. \n-Experience working with contract manufacturers and overseas suppliers. \n-CAD experience such as SolidWorks. \n-Experience with power supplies, displays, embedded computers, lighting, audio, thermal management, and cooling systems. \nThis Job Description is to be used as a guide for accomplishing Company objectives.
