You will turn complex AI capabilities into clear, dependable workflows across web and document-based surfaces. This is a full-stack product engineering role with a high bar for interaction design, technical quality, and ownership.\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nBuild assistant experiences across web and document-based workflows.\n\nDesign product patterns for scheduled work, durable agent runs, approvals, progress, and recovery.\n\nBuild reusable workflow and prompt libraries that help users get consistent results.\n\nCreate clear controls, feedback loops, and explanations for complex agent behavior.\n\nConnect product telemetry and evaluations so the team can measure and improve quality.\n\nWork across the frontend and backend stack to ship complete, reliable features.\n\nPartner closely with product, AI Strategy, and AI engineers from problem discovery through launch and iteration.\n\nREQUIREMENTS\nProduct-minded engineers: You start with the user's problem and care about whether the experience is clear, useful, and trustworthy.\n\nStrong craft: You have a high bar for interaction details, performance, accessibility, and the quality of the code behind the experience.\n\nFull-stack ownership: You can move between frontend, backend, data, and AI systems to ship a complete product.\n\nPragmatic judgment: You simplify complex capabilities without hiding important controls or failure modes.\n\nHigh agency: You can turn an unclear workflow into a concrete product direction and move it forward.\n\nClose collaborators: You work well with product, design, AI Strategy, and AI engineers and communicate tradeoffs clearly.\n\nNICE TO HAVE\nYou have shipped user-facing products from early concept through production.\n\nYou have built complex interactive applications with React and TypeScript.\n\nYou have experience designing interfaces for agents, AI systems, or other probabilistic software.\n\nYou have worked closely with enterprise users on workflow-heavy products.\n\nYou have worked in a high-growth early-stage company.\n\nYou are familiar with parts of our stack: Next.js, TypeScript, Python, Postgres, Azure, AWS.\n\nBENEFITS\nCompetitive compensation, including meaningful equity.\n\nMedical, dental, and vision insurance for employees and dependents.\n\nGenerous PTO policy.\n\nPaid parental leave.\n\nAt Valkai, we are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.
