A Yard/Warehouse Worker will handle all of Valley Irons products.\nEssential Functions:\nPull stock as needed.\nRotate jobs frequently.\nInspect and identify material and related documentation as prescribed by the purchase order/sales order.\nProperly color code all product in accordance with company policy\nUnload and load trucks safely and efficiently using company provided equipment in accordance with company procedures.\nStocking all material on the yard while sorting sold materials\nMaintaining a clean and organized work area (multiple warehouses) \nExamine shipment contents and compare with records to ensure accuracy.\nExpertise in all product lines understanding how it should be stored, handled, packaged, and shipped.\nCommunicate with supervisor, clerk, and sales team.\nComply with all safety guidelines. \nAll other duties as assigned.\nRequirements\nQualifications: Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:\nMinimum Education Preferred: High school diploma or equivalent. \nMinimum Experience Preferred: 2 years of experience in forklift/crane operation.\nSkills Required:\nAttention to detail.\nUnderstand and be proficient in measurements.\nWillingness to Learn\nExcellent communication/organizational skills\nExcellent knowledge of carbon, stainless and aluminum products\nChop saw and torch cutting experience.\nAble to work in changing work environment daily.\nAbility to work independently and in a team environment.\nPhysical Job Description:\nTypical Working Conditions:\nWeather dependent position: hot, cold, foggy, windy, dusty, etc. conditions\nMay be exposed to chemicals and airborne particles.\nNoise level may vary. \nFast-paced environment subject to numerous schedule and priority changes and short notice activity\nEquipment Used:\nForklift, hubtex, overhead cranes, propane torch, chop saw, assorted hand tools, PPE. \nEssential Physical Tasks: \nMounting and dismounting forklifts\nStanding and walking for long periods of time\nUse their hands to pull material, push material, and stack material.\nBending \nLifting over 50lbs\nMaintaining a clean and organized work area\nReports to:\nManager: Operations Manager \nDirect Supervisor: Receiving Supervisor\nSalary Description\n$22.50 -
