Process Engineering / Improvement Specialist

In this role, you will help drive meaningful operational improvement across retail banking environments by shaping more efficient, compliant, and customer-focused processes. You will work closely with business and technology stakeholders to support transformation initiatives, improve service delivery, and turn process insights into measurable business outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Optimize core retail banking journeys by mapping, analyzing, and re-engineering workflows such as customer onboarding, KYC/AML processing, and consumer loan and credit card origination to reduce turnaround time.
• Partner with digital product and IT teams to identify automation opportunities, streamline processes for RPA deployment, and support mobile-first banking initiatives.
• Redesign workflows to embed compliance with Central Bank of Egypt mandates, data privacy laws, and internal risk and control self-assessments.
• Apply Lean Six Sigma methodologies to identify root causes of operational defects, branch inefficiencies, and back-office backlogs.
• Establish baseline operational KPIs, build performance dashboards using Power BI and Excel, and present data-backed recommendations to senior stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, Operations Management, or a related discipline.
• 3-6 years of direct process improvement, industrial engineering, or business analysis experience within retail banking or financial services in Egypt.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification, with familiarity with Agile and Scrum delivery approaches.
• Proficiency with process mapping tools such as Microsoft Visio, Bizagi, or ARIS.
• Strong analytical capability using SQL, advanced Microsoft Excel, and Power BI.
• Experience presenting process improvement initiatives, performance metrics, and business cases to senior management and department heads within a banking or financial services environment.
• Experience working with Compliance, Risk, Internal Control, AML/KYC, and Operations teams to align process enhancements with regulatory and governance requirements.
• Experience partnering with Digital, IT, Product, and Automation teams to translate business requirements into workflow enhancements, BPM solutions, or RPA initiatives.
• Experience facilitating workshops, process mapping sessions, and cross-functional discussions with business and technical stakeholders.
• Experience communicating data-driven recommendations through dashboards, presentations, and executive summaries.
• Eligibility to work in Egypt.

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA or master's degree in operations, Process Improvement, Business Analytics, or a related field.
• Experience with process mining.
• Experience participating in digital transformation programs, customer journey redesign projects, or process automation initiatives within retail banking.
