Perform all duties in accordance with Valley View Casino & Hotel policies and within the realm of the Valley View Casino & Hotel's Mission Statement. Team Member will work under general supervision. This position relies on limited experience, instructions, pre-established guidelines and good judgment to perform the functions of the job. \n\nPrimary Duties, Responsibilities, and Tasks:\nAll team members are obligated to support and uphold the Valley View Casino & Hotel’s Standards of Excellence, Mission and Vision Statements as outlined in the Team Member Guide to Success.\nMaintain positive guest relations at all times, resolving guest complaints and ensuring guest satisfaction. Greet guests in a courteous and caring manner using personalized service.\nResponsible for mixing and serving alcoholic beverage and/or non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and procedures. \nResponsible for the mixing and serving beverages in a service station capacity to Beverage/Food Servers in a prompt and efficient manner.\nResponsible for protecting Valley View Casino & Hotel by adhering to alcohol beverage control policies by providing responsible alcohol service and monitoring guest’s alcohol consumption.\nResponsible for informing the Beverage Manager or Assistant Beverage Manager when a guest demonstrates signs of intoxication.\nResponsible for maintaining, counting and balancing bank at the beginning and end of each shift.\nResponsible for the accuracy of ringing up all beverage transactions ensuring that the guest receives accurate change.\nMaintains a neat and clean bar station on a continual basis.\nKnowledge of the Dram Shop Act and bartenders responsibilities and rights under it.\nKnowledge of all Gaming and beverage regulations.\nParticipates as a Team Member with all Beverage Servers, Barbacks, Supervisors and any pertinent Company Team Members to ensure efficient operational standards.\nAdheres to performance standards, company policies and procedures, as they relate to the department.\nMaintains a working knowledge of company facilities, as well as special events on property, in order to advise guests and fellow Team Members of same, whenever possible.\nAll team members must comply with the Tipped Rate Determination Agreement (Gaming Industry) as approved by the IRS.\nOther duties as assigned by Food and Beverage Managers, Directors and/or Vice President.\nResponsible for conducting all responsibilities in a professional and ethical manner\nAdheres to performance standards, company policies and procedures, as they relate to the department.\nRequired Qualifications:\nHigh school diploma or GED equivalent.\nOne to three years of bartending experience.\nOne year of cash handling experience.\nAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, instructions, guidelines, operating and maintenance instructions, and policies and procedure manuals written in the English language.\nAbility to work with mathematical concepts. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.\nAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions to carry out primary duties, responsibilities and tasks.\nAbility to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form referring back to established guidelines and policies and procedures. \nMust use good judgment when providing information to our guests and maintain positive guest relations at all times.\nResponsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record.\nResponsible for conducting all responsibilities in a professional and ethical manner.\nMust apply for, receive, and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Agency.\nMust be able to successfully pass applicable auditions or skill testing and a drug screening test.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nAbility to understand oral and verbal communication while using Valley View Casino & Hotel’s communication tools which include but are not limited to radios and phones.\nPhysical Requirements of the Position:\n\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by the Team Member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. \nClear vision (close, distant, peripheral, and depth perception) is needed for navigating office and casino environments, reading and reviewing reports and policies, operating data processing equipment and other essential job functions.\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to talk and hear.\nThe Team Member may be required to stand, walk, and sit and use hands to manipulate, handle, or feel.\nThe Team Member is regularly required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and taste or smell.\nThe Team Member must frequently lift and/or move 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.\nWorking Conditions:\nThe Casino is open 24 hours per day, seven (7) days per week; therefore, you must be flexible to work any and all shifts.\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is exposed to second hand tobacco smoke, moving mechanical parts, risk of radiation from computers, and fumes or airborne particles.\nThe Team Member is usually subject to inside environmental conditions, which provide protection from weather conditions, but not necessarily from temperature changes.\nThe Team Member is occasionally subject to outside environmental conditions and to wet and/or humid conditions.\nThe noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
