This is an excellent opportunity to become part of our Machine Shop team, operating CNC machinery used to manufacture high-precision components. You'll play an important role in ensuring quality, safety, and delivery performance while working closely with CNC Setters, Team Leaders, and other production colleagues. If you enjoy hands-on engineering work and take pride in producing quality components, we'd love to hear from you.\nWhat you'll do\nOperate one or more CNC machines within the Machine Shop, ensuring production runs safely and efficiently.\nCarry out daily machine health checks and maintain accurate production documentation and traveller bookings.\nRead and follow engineering drawings to manufacture components to specification.\nMonitor quality, stamp your own work, and report any non-conformances when identified.\nHelp minimise scrap, maintain a clean and safe work environment, and support continuous improvement activities.\nWork closely with CNC Setters and Production Team Leaders to communicate production issues and delivery priorities.\nSupport and mentor new team members and apprentices when required.\nWhat you'll bring\nPrevious experience in a manufacturing or machining environment.\nBasic CNC machine operation and programming knowledge.\nAbility to read and understand engineering drawings.\nGood communication skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork.\nStrong numerical skills and attention to detail.\nAn engineering qualification, apprenticeship, or equivalent experience would be advantageous.\nWhat we offer\nJoining LB Bentley, part of Valmet, means becoming part of a team that manufactures precision-engineered components used in demanding industrial applications.
