Apply your expertise as our new Electrical / Automation Engineer, Tissue Converting in our North America team.\nResponsibilities\nThe electrical / automation engineer is responsible for the electrical engineering portion of Valmet new equipment and TIPS/MODS (converting, packaging, fold) along with reviewing all electrical tips and mods coming from Valmet Italy.\nThe electrical / automation engineer strives to meet the unique needs of the customers by customizing the hardware and software while also maintaining standards.\nRequirements\nCreate job specific electrical schematics and Bill of material.\nCreate job specific PLC software (Rockwell and Siemens) and HMI software.\nSupport sales team by answering engineering questions on feasibility of changes.\nSupport purchasing team if needed to evaluate new supplier and brands.\nSupport customer service team on electrical replacement parts for obsolescence. \nSupport technicians to resolve the software and engineering issues for tips and mods.\nResponsible for the timely completion of Tip/Mod engineering activities to respect the target cost and the promised delivery time. \nResolve the electrical non-conformities identified at suppliers or Valmet processes.\nDesign, engineer and promote electrical Tips/upgrades for obsolete electrical platforms.\nTravel when necessary to customer’s sites to promote or install equipment (Up to 25%)\nCoordinate and participate in tips/mods design reviews with customers.\nSelf-motivated, engaged, passionate individual.\nBachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or similar experience in the workplace / industry.\nKnowledge of Electrical Control Packages - Rockwell and Siemens\nKnowledge of Pneumatic Systems\nAbility to create schematics and BOM’s.
