In this role, you will be a key player in supporting the Stock Prep & Recycled Fiber - Screen & Hydrocyclone business at Valmet. This role focuses on providing service and technical support to customers using Valmet-supplied parts and systems, while also promoting the Screen & Hydrocyclone product lines. The Process Engineer will optimize system performance by conducting mill audits and inspections, recommending adjustments to operating parameters, and identifying upgrade opportunities-all while ensuring customer satisfaction and collaborating closely with the Valmet Mill Team.\nCustomer Engagement & Support\nSupport the Stock Preparation & Recycled Fiber - Screen & Hydrocyclone Business through service and technical support\nAssist customers using Valmet-supplied parts and systems\nPromote the Screen & Hydrocyclone product lines\nConduct mill audits to optimize system efficiency\nSuggest adjustments to operating parameters and recommend upgrades\nGenerate comprehensive service reports for mills\nPropose part replacements or upgrades as needed\nEnsure customer satisfaction through appropriate follow-up\nSales & Opportunity Development\nDrive sales of aftermarket spare parts by aligning solutions with customer goals\nPrepare accurate and timely quotations that reflect customer requirements and pricing strategies\nUse business systems to analyze customer usage, monitor trends, and inform sales strategies\nCross-Functional Collaboration\nCollaborate with the Valmet Mill Team, including Product Sales Managers and other team members\nMonitor competitor activity and market trends to keep offerings competitive and relevant\nContribute to continuous improvement by sharing customer feedback and process insights\nWhat you’ll need:\nCertified 4-year College or University Degree preferred\n1 to 3 years of field experience in the pulp and paper industry\nStrong communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills\nProficient in Excel and business intelligence tools; technical aptitude is a plus\nComfortable working in fast-paced environments and managing multiple priorities\nWillingness to travel domestically (60-80%) and occasionally internationally (Canada)\nWe Offer\nWe offer a challenging work environment that values innovation and suits development-minded people who enjoy working in a fast-paced and dynamic setting.
