Apply now.\nAvailable Shift:\n2nd Shift (Monday - Friday from 2:30pm to 11:00pm)\n3rd Shift (Sunday - Thursday from 10:30pm to 7:00am)\nCompensation:\n2nd and 3rd Shift - $26.92 p/hour+ $2.00 Shift Diff p/hour = $28.92/hour\nA Brief Summary of This Position:\nValmont is currently seeking a highly motivated and talented individual for the Bridge Crane Operator position in the Global Coatings Division. We are looking for a highly driven individual that will operate the galvanizing department’s 15-ton overhead bridge crane in a safe and effective manner to ensure high-quality finished product.\nEssential Functions:\nMonitor steel products in the process tanks and zinc baths to achieve desired, high-quality end result.\nInspect hooks and chains and use gauges to check thickness of the crane set-up.\nOperate and maneuver the drossing equipment in a proper and safe manner\nWear required personal protective equipment and follow facility safety regulations.\nMaintain a safe and productive working environment.\nOperate radio-controlled crane while standing and walking down the galvanizing process.\nRequired Qualifications of Every Candidate (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):\nThe ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.\nThe ability to work in a high volume, fast paced environment.\nThe ability to perform basic math functions such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing.\nThe ability to communicate and interact with coworkers in a positive manner.\nThe ability to work in extreme temperatures with exposure to smoke and irritating particulates.\nMust be a person of passion and integrity who has the drive to excel and deliver exceptional results.\nHighly Qualified Candidates Will Also Possess These Qualifications:\nHigh School Diploma or GED equivalent.\nOne year of previous experience with overhead crane operations.\nOne year of previous experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.\nThe ability to recognize and solve practical problems or issues.\nThe ability to recognize hazardous substances and to know basic employee responsibilities for chemical safety.\nMust have a high awareness for safety at all times.\nBenefits:\nValmont offers employees and their families a comprehensive Total Wellbeing benefit package to ensure their individual and family’s overall wellness needs are met.
