Apply now.\nThis position is for 2nd shift working Monday through Thursday from 3:00pm to 12:45am pm with a pay range of $26.35-$29.43/hr.\nThe Material Handler position is an individual contributor in the Farmington facility. This person must be a highly driven individual that will operate material handling equipment including machines like cranes, forklift, shag truck, and other material handling equipment. Match incoming parts to paper documents to verify part numbers, size, quantity, and inspect for damage. Operate industrial trucks or tractors equipped to move materials around a warehouse, storage yard, factory, construction site.\nEssential Functions\nOperate material handling equipment including machines like cranes, forklift, shag truck, and other material handling equipment.\nOperate a powered industrial truck (e.g., forklift) in all weather conditions (indoor/outdoor operation).\nTotal compliance with all Company personal protective equipment policies.\nObserve and maintain all safety procedures, policies and regulations.\nLoad and unload trucks, using a forklift and other material handling mechanisms.\nTransport products and materials within the plant and back and forth from yard to plant.\nSupplying manufacturing work stations from stored raw materials.\nReporting damaged good and material shortages and verifying inventory levels .\nPerform daily Cycle Counts as needed.\nOther duties as required and/or assigned.\nImportant Details about the Role\nThe employee is responsible for own work.\nMust be able to work with other employees to complete job.\nThis position reports to the Production Supervisor.\nRequired Qualifications of Every Candidate (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)\nHigh school diploma or GED equivalent\nMust have an acceptable attendance and prior employment record.\nForklift certification or the ability to acquire a forklift certification\n1 - 3 years of powered industrial truck (e.g., forklift) in a manufacturing environment.\nAbility to lift, push and/or pull a maximum of 50 lbs\nAbility to physically lift, push or pull up to a maximum of 50 pounds.\nDemonstrated strengths in interpersonal skills, including the ability to adapt and professionally communicate with a variety of people.\nHighly Qualified Candidates Will Also Possess These Qualifications\nHigh school diploma or GED equivalent\nMust have an acceptable attendance and prior employment record.\nMinimum 1 - 3 years of experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment operating industrial trucks and equipment.\nStrong hands-on working knowledge operating machines in a production environment.\nAbility to physically lift, push or pull up to a maximum of 50 pounds.\nDemonstrated strengths in interpersonal skills, including the ability to adapt and professionally communicate with a variety of people.\nBenefits\nValmont offers employees and their families a comprehensive Total Wellbeing benefit package to ensure their individual and family’s overall wellness needs are met.
