Apply now.\nA Brief Summary of This Position:\nWork Schedule:\nFriday - Monday\nThe primary function of the Operations Manager is to provide operational leadership for one or more assigned departments within the site. The position supervises the profitable and safe operation of the manufacturing function in a growth environment. This is accomplished through employee motivation, plant scheduling and machine loading, proper maintenance and care of equipment, assuring a quality product, maintaining good management/employee relations, recommending new equipment and capital assets and controlling plant costs.\nEssential Functions:\nProvide direct leadership and support for front line supervisor(s) on a daily basis\nEnsure all safety systems, processes, and policies are being adhered to at all times\nDevelop strategies and goals that will meet the product line objectives\nActively promote a culture of continuous improvement\nPreparing and utilizing a Lean tools and techniques to eliminate waste and improve processes\nLead and mobilize associates inside and outside of the value stream to enable required changes\nLead day-to-day activities to ensure that current commitments are achieved and improvements are made\nExecution of the master production schedule, including long and short-range capacity planning\nCommunicate departmental, divisional, and Company information to all employees on a regular basis\nThis position will have 1-3 direct reports with approx. 75-125 indirect reports\nOther duties as assigned\nRequired Qualifications of Every Candidate (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):\nPreferred Bachelors with 6+ years relevant experience OR Associates Degree with 8+ years relevant experience OR 10+ years of relevant experience\nStrong leadership skills and the ability to support divisional business objectives\nProven managerial skills (previous management/supervisory related work history)\nThorough knowledge of manufacturing equipment and processes\nAbility to react to change in a timely and organized manner\nAbility to effectively interpret and present information both one-on-one and in front of groups\nAble to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment\nAbility to communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, and all levels within the organization\nMust be a person of passion and integrity who has the drive to excel and deliver exceptional results\nMust have experience with budgeting, forecasting and cost controlling measures within a manufacturing environment\nMust be able to work effectively within a team and build collaborative relationships to drive business objectives\nIdentify and drive breakthrough changes/improvements\nMust have experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)\nHighly Qualified Candidates Will Also Possess These Qualifications:\nBachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering Technology, or a related field is preferred\n3+ years supervisory experience in a manufacturing operation \nSolid understanding of Lean Manufacturing is preferred\nFinancial experience including P & L responsibilities\nProject Management and/or Capital Project experience\nWorking Environment and Physical Efforts:\nWhile performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and/or can be loud in the factory.\nThis position requires the employee to regularly reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, or crouch; talk or hear or smell.
