Apply now.\nA Brief Summary of This Position:\nThe Shipping Supervisor is responsible for managing the shipping schedule and all associated functions for Farmington Operations, responsible for executing the bundling of engineered to order product and shipping to ensure efficient and timely transportation services. The incumbent will oversee the organization and control of the Shipping, and Traffic operations. Through subordinate staff this person is responsible to use the most cost-efficient means of product receipt and delivery to and from internal and external customers/suppliers while meeting deadlines.\nEssential Functions:\nThis position reports to the Operations Manager.\nDevelop and maintain relationships with transportation providers\nSupports the successful use of systems intended to support the operational, efficient and timely transportation services, including Transportation Management System\n· Efficiently utilizes TMS capabilities such as MOJO and shipment process execution\nProvide operational leadership for the business’s distribution operations to meet/exceed the business’s demanding customer fulfillment requirements and cost objectives\nAccountable for efficient management of shipments, and paperwork associated with the movement, loading, and deliveries for all of Farmington Operations\nAdhere to and follow established transportation policies, procedures, and objectives\nDevelop, maintain and analyze data related to matrix level of KPI’s to ensure sufficient team and carrier performance (SMQDC & Performance Boards)\nAssist with investigations to verify and resolve customer or shipper complaints\n· Manage the overall employee performance while ensuring a safe work area, appropriate staffing levels, corrective action records, performance management process and succession planning\n· Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements and ethical standards\nOther Important Details about the Role:\nBe available to accept a variety of duties, as time permits, ranging from special projects as directed\nCoordination of domestic orders with shipping, marketing, and carriers for a timely delivery and to be cost effective\nCoordination of customer service activities necessary to communicate the shipping schedule with customers\nAssist with daily communication with customer service, sites and others, coordinating delivery appointments with carriers, to meet company deadlines\nAssist with the coordination of all truckload shipments from the Intercompany locations & finishing service providers\nRequired Qualifications of Every Candidate (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):\n· Bachelors with five (5) + years relevant experience or Associates Degree with seven (7)+ years relevant experience or nine (9) + years of relevant experience.\nFive years of experience in a manufacturing/distribution setting in Logistics, Supply Chain, Sales, or Customer Service\n· Supervisory or Management experience preferred\nProduction control/supply chain management experience in manufacturing environment\nStrong working knowledge of TMS and MRP/ERP Systems\nStrong understanding of local, state, and federal transportation regulations\nAdvanced problem solving skills, with attention to detail\nStrong leadership skills\nChange management experience with the ability to drive focus, urgency, and accountability\nDetail oriented with the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment with a focus on accuracy, follow through, and communication\nAbility to coordinate logistics moves in a cost-effective and time critical manner utilizing technology available\nAbility to analyze data in order to drive efficient operational impacts\nExcellent planning and organizational skills exhibited under tight deadlines with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously\nStrong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Outlook.\nPositive, professional demeanor in all interaction with colleagues, carriers, customers and vendors\nKnowledge and experience necessary to assist with all operational aspects of logistics process\nExcellent oral and written communication and presentation skills\nAbility to work with people in a professional and respectful manner to address issues in a constructive way\nHighly Qualified Candidates Will Also Possess These Qualifications:\n· Bachelor’s degree in Logistics/Supply Chain management\n· TMS Software experience\nWorking Environment and Physical Efforts:\nWork is typically performed in an office setting. The incumbent is regularly required to sit for extended periods of time, as well as talk and listen on the phone and in personal conversations or meetings. Environment is fast paced and demanding most of the time. Incumbent may be asked to visit and work in manufacturing and shipping environments. When in these areas, incumbent will be required to wear any necessary PPE as required by site policy. Travel may be required up to 15% (domestic). The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms while working in the office with various files and forms and while working on the computer. The employee is occasionally required to move about the office. Incumbent must utilize proper ergonomic safeguards such as monitor height and positions, keyboard location and height and proper wrists rests. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds in working with large files, binders, and computer equipment.
