Hourly pay plus shift differential.\nMajor Duties and Responsibilities:\nShot blast poles using a shot blast hose\nMaintain and operate shot blasting equipment properly and safely\nPull and read product blue prints for blast knowledge\nEnsure high quality products with visual quality check\nComplete appropriate paperwork/log books\nAssist in masking/taping\nAssist in Crane Operation as needed\nMay train as back up painter\nWork closely with the Long Side Finishing Department\nWear required personal protective equipment including supplied air hood (must pass a FIT and PFT)\nFollow facility safety regulations\nMaintain a safe and productive working environment\nAdditional Responsibilities:\nPay attention to detail and follow work instructions\nCalculate simple mathematics and accurately read a tape measure\nCommunicate and interact with coworkers in a positive manner\nBe a team player in a diverse group assisting in other areas/in other ways as needed or when idle.\nBe a person of passion and integrity who has the drive to excel and deliver exceptional results\nJob Qualifications:\nHigh School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred\nPrevious experience with sandblasting, shot blasting or auto painting preferred\nMust be mechanically and technically inclined\nAble to read, write, and calculate simple mathematics.\nAble to pay attention to detail and understand/follow instructions\nAble to train and apply training in the paint department\nAble to communicate and interact with coworkers in a positive manner\nAble to recognize and solve practical problems or issues\nAble to work in a team environment with a diverse group of people\nAble to communicate problems and ideas effectively to co-workers, supervisors, and managers.\nMinimum six months experience using a forklift and/or overhead crane\nMinimum six months experience sandblasting or shot blasting\nMust be able to work with minimal supervision \nKey Competencies:\nPatience\nCommunication\nAttention to Detail\nFlexibility\nWorking Well under Pressure\nOrganization\nTeamwork\nIntegrity\nSelf-supervision\nPhysical Requirements:\nAble to lift up to 50 lbs,\nAble stand, walk, sit, bend, squat, stoop, push, pull, reach, grasp, hold and carry for various periods of time\nAble to wear required PPE at all times: Hard hat, safety glasses, ear plugs, gloves, reflective vest, long sleeves, long pants, steel toed boots with built in met guards, fresh air feed hood, face shield\nJob Summary:\nEmployee will complete a variety of tasks in the Paint department including shot blasting, general clean up, tape/masking, reading prints and completing paperwork. Must follow all processes, procedures and regulations and maintain the highest of standards including no damage to product and/or equipment. Must wear PPE at all times, arrive on time, work the required schedule each week and report any damage or issues to the department supervisor and/or Crew Lead immediately.
