You'll keep fleets on the road by doing the work right the first time, documenting it clearly, and flagging issues before they become breakdowns.\nReports to: Shop Foreman Location: Hagerstown, MD Employment type: Full-time, non-exempt\nKey responsibilities\n Diagnose and repair diesel engines, fuel systems, turbochargers and aftertreatment (DPF, DEF/SCR, EGR)\n Troubleshoot electrical systems, wiring, sensors and ECMs using OEM and aftermarket diagnostic software\n Perform preventive maintenance: oil and filter service, fluid checks, lubrication and scheduled inspections\n Repair and adjust air brake systems, suspensions, steering, drivetrains, transmissions and differentials\n Service HVAC, cooling and hydraulic systems\n Complete DOT annual inspections and document defects to FMCSA standards\n Record labor, parts and findings accurately in the work order or fleet maintenance system\n Road-test vehicles to verify repairs\n Respond to roadside or on-site service calls as scheduled\n Keep tools, bays and equipment clean, organized and safe; follow all shop safety and environmental procedures\nRequirements\nRequired qualifications\nHigh school diploma or GED\n2+ years of hands-on diesel repair experience on medium- or heavy-duty trucks\nWorking knowledge of diesel engines, air brakes and 12/24V electrical systems\nAbility to use diagnostic laptops and software (e.g., Cummins INSITE, Detroit DiagnosticLink, JPRO, Noregon)\nOwn basic hand tool set appropriate for heavy-duty repair\nValid driver's license with a clean driving record\nAble to read service manuals, wiring diagrams and schematics\nPreferred qualifications\nASE certifications (Medium/Heavy Truck T-series);
