You'll respond to roadside calls, change and repair tires on commercial trucks and passenger vehicles, and keep our towing fleet running safely. It's a hands-on job for someone who works well under pressure, puts safety first, and takes pride in getting drivers back on the road.\nKey Responsibilities\nRespond to roadside tire calls around the clock, including highway shoulders and bad weather\nMount, demount, repair and replace tires on passenger, light-truck and Class 3-8 commercial vehicles, including steer, drive and trailer positions\nInspect tires for tread depth, damage, irregular wear and DOT compliance, and recommend replacements\nDo plug-patch and section repairs to industry standards\nTorque lug nuts to spec with calibrated tools and re-torque when required\nInstall and service TPMS sensors, valve stems and wheel hardware\nBalance and rotate tires, and check the alignment of the wheel assembly\nService and inspect tires on Valor Fleet's own tow trucks, wreckers and rollbacks\nSet up safe work zones with cones, flares and lighting, following DOT and company safety rules\nKeep the service truck, tools and tire inventory stocked, clean and in working order\nComplete work orders, inspection reports and customer invoices accurately, using a tablet or dispatch software\nCommunicate clearly and professionally with dispatch, drivers and customers\nHelp with towing, jump starts, lockouts or fuel delivery when needed (if cross-trained)\nRequired:\n1+ years of tire service experience, commercial or heavy-duty preferred\nKnows how to use tire machines, impact guns, torque wrenches, bead breakers and jacks\nUnderstands safe tire inflation practices, including using an inflation cage for split or multi-piece rims\nValid driver's license with a clean driving record\nCan lift up to 100+ lbs, and can kneel, bend and work outdoors in all weather\nCan pass a background check, drug screen and DOT physical\nRequirements\nTIA certifications (Commercial Tire Service, ATS, or Basic/Advanced Truck Tire Service) preferred.\nWreckMaster or TRAA towing certification preferred.\nExperience with roadside or mobile service\nOwn basic hand tools\n What We Offer\nCompetitive pay with overtime and on-call pay\nHealth, dental and vision insurance\nPaid time off and paid holidays\n401(k) [with company match]\nPaid training and certifications\nUniforms and PPE provided\nRoom to grow into lead tech, fleet maintenance or towing roles\nSalary Description\n$18 -
