We’re looking for an AI Native Experience Designer who is excited to be part of that change.\nYou’ve built strong foundations in experience, product or interaction design. But as AI has evolved, so has the way you work.\nYou experiment. You make. You use AI not simply to make your existing design process faster, but to explore experiences that weren’t possible before.\nMaybe you’ve used AI to turn an idea into a working prototype. Maybe you’ve built an agent, experimented with generative interfaces, explored voice or multimodal experiences, or found new ways to move from Figma into functioning front-end code.\nWhatever your path, you haven’t been watching the AI transformation from the sidelines.\nYou’ve been building with it.\nThe role\nAs an AI Native Experience Designer, you’ll work alongside designers, engineers, strategists and clients to imagine and create the next generation of intelligent digital experiences.\nYou’ll combine human-centered design, critical thinking and strong design craft with a growing technical fluency. You’ll explore new interaction patterns enabled by AI, rapidly prototype ideas, test them with people, and help turn the most promising concepts into real experiences.\nThis is deliberately a hybrid role.\nYou don’t need to be a software engineer. But your work doesn’t necessarily stop when the Figma prototype is finished.\nYou’re interested in closing the distance between thinking, designing and making.\nWhat you’ll do\nDesign compelling AI-native products, services and digital experiences, from early concepts through high-fidelity and functional prototypes.\nExplore new interaction patterns involving agents, copilots, conversational experiences, generative interfaces and multimodal AI.\nTranslate complex user, technology and business challenges into simple, intuitive experiences.\nUse AI throughout your design process to research, ideate, create, prototype, test and iterate.\nBuild rich interactive prototypes using Figma and emerging AI-assisted design and development tools.\nExperiment with tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, v0, Replit, Lovable, Bolt and whatever comes next.\nUse AI-enabled development workflows to move from design concepts toward working front-end experiences.\nPartner closely with engineers to understand technical possibilities and constraints and translate designs into production experiences.\nPrototype quickly to answer questions that static screens alone can’t answer.\nDesign thoughtfully for the unique characteristics of AI, including uncertainty, transparency, trust, user control and unexpected outputs.\nTest emerging AI capabilities, understand where they succeed and fail, and translate that understanding into better experiences.\nBring ideas to life for clients, helping them see and experience what AI makes possible rather than simply talking about it.\nShare what you learn and contribute to the evolution of AI-native design practices across Valtech.\nWhat we’re looking for\n2-4 years of professional experience in experience design, product design, interaction design, UX/UI or a related discipline.\nA strong portfolio demonstrating digital experience design and your ability to move from problem definition through concept, interaction design and execution.\nStrong experience with Figma, prototyping, interaction design and design systems.\nDemonstrated experience using AI as part of how you design, prototype or create.\nHands-on experimentation with generative AI, AI-assisted design tools, coding tools or emerging prototyping platforms.\nStrong foundations in human-centered design, user journeys, information architecture, usability and user research.\nAn ability to think critically, challenge assumptions and bring structure to ambiguous problems.\nEnough technical fluency to understand how modern digital experiences are built and to collaborate closely with engineering teams.\nStrong communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to explain the thinking behind your work to clients, engineers and other designers.\nMost importantly, a demonstrated curiosity about AI and a habit of turning that curiosity into something tangible.\nWe’d love it if you’ve...\nWe don’t expect you to check every box. You might have:\nUsed AI to take a design concept all the way to a working front-end prototype.\nBuilt or designed an AI agent, copilot, conversational interface or generative experience.\nExperimented with voice, image, video or other multimodal AI experiences.\nUsed tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, v0, Replit, Lovable or Bolt to make your ideas real.\nWorked directly with an LLM or AI API, or understand concepts such as context, RAG, tool calling and agents.\nDeveloped some familiarity with HTML/CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, React or modern front-end development.\nDesigned experiences that account for the uncertainty and non-deterministic behavior of AI.\nThought deeply about how people build trust, understanding and control when interacting with intelligent systems.\nContributed to a design system or helped translate design systems into working interfaces.\nBuilt side projects, hackathon projects or experiments simply because you wanted to understand what a new technology could do.\nDeveloped strong opinions about what separates an AI experience that is genuinely useful from one that is simply impressive.\nSpecific tools are going to change.\nWe’re more interested in what you’ve tried, what you’ve made, how you think and what you’ve learned along the way.\nYou are\nA designer\nYou have strong foundations in experience design. You care about people, behavior, interaction, usability and craft. You can take something complicated and make it feel intuitive.\nA maker\nYour instinct is to make ideas tangible.\nYou’re comfortable in Figma, but increasingly interested in what happens beyond it. You see prototypes, code and AI-assisted development as additional materials you can use to explore an experience.\nAn explorer\nWhen a new AI capability appears, you want to understand it by using it.\nYou don’t begin with the assumed limitations of AI. You ask:\n“What might be possible now that wasn’t possible before?”\nAnd then you start making.\nA critical thinker\nYou recognize that AI does not replace judgment.\nYou challenge assumptions, interrogate problems and understand that sometimes the best experience uses AI extensively and sometimes the best solution doesn’t need AI at all.\nA collaborator\nYou’re comfortable moving between users, designers, engineers and business stakeholders.
