The role   

Please note, we are only accepting applicants from the provinces of Ontario and Québec for this role.  For Québec-based candidates, fluency in English is necessary because the position entails collaboration with teams based in the rest of Americas and occasionally in Europe.

We're looking for a Senior Vice President, Strategy to lead and evolve our strategy practice across the Americas. This executive leader will serve as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders, shape strategic pursuits, define market-leading offerings, elevate Valtech's industry presence, and build an AI-native strategy function that drives measurable business impact.

Role responsibilities

Executive Client Advisory

• Serve as a trusted advisor to executive client leaders, including CMOs, CIOs, and other senior stakeholders.
• Help clients navigate the intersection of brand strategy, customer experience, data, technology, and AI.
• Develop and defend strategic points of view on personalization, data activation, AI, and growth.
• Connect brand differentiation with data-driven customer engagement strategies.
• Advise organizations on how AI is transforming content production, marketing operations, and the broader customer experience ecosystem.
• Build trusted relationships that open, expand, and strengthen client partnerships.

Strategic Pursuits & Business Development

• Shape opportunities before formal pursuit phases begin by helping clients define business challenges and strategic priorities.
• Partner with account teams to identify, qualify, and develop high-value opportunities.
• Bring a compelling perspective across brand, creative, data, AI, and technology solutions.
• Guide pursuit strategy and support proposal and RFP development activities.
• Evaluate pursuit investment decisions and prioritize opportunities with the highest strategic value and growth potential.

Pursuit Leadership

• Lead strategic pursuit narratives from opportunity identification through final client presentations.
• Develop compelling solution stories and differentiated value propositions.
• Collaborate with commercial and pricing teams to align strategic positioning with commercial models.
• Coach and support presenting teams during client decision-making processes.
• Capture lessons learned from both successful and unsuccessful pursuits and translate insights into future improvements.

Offering Development

• Transform market and client insights into scalable, repeatable service offerings.
• Define how strategy, brand, data activation, personalization, and AI offerings are packaged, positioned, and sold.
• Continuously evolve offerings in response to changes in technology, AI capabilities, and market demand.
• Partner across practices to ensure integrated solutions and consistent client experiences.

Thought Leadership & Market Presence

• Represent Valtech at industry conferences, executive forums, analyst briefings, and client events.
• Develop original intellectual property, research, and thought leadership content.
• Build awareness of Valtech's AI-native positioning and experience innovation capabilities.
• Strengthen relationships with analysts, strategic partners, and key industry influencers.

Practice Leadership

• Build, lead, and develop a high-performing team of strategists across the Americas.
• Establish scalable operating models, tools, and ways of working for the strategy practice.
• Partner closely with Creative, Data & AI, and Technology leaders to deliver integrated client outcomes.
• Define and implement AI-native approaches to research, synthesis, strategic development, pursuit support, and practice operations.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, accountability, and continuous learning.

Must have qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following essential qualifications: 

• Significant experience in strategy consulting, digital consulting, business transformation, or a related advisory discipline.
• Proven success advising CMOs, marketing leaders, and executive stakeholders on business growth and transformation initiatives.
• Demonstrated ability to engage credibly with CIOs and technology leaders on the relationship between technology investments and business outcomes.
• Deep understanding of customer experience, brand strategy, data activation, personalization, and AI-driven transformation.
• Experience leading complex, multidisciplinary pursuits from qualification through deal closure.
• Strong track record of building and scaling high-performing strategy or advisory teams.
• Experience defining operating models, methodologies, and business practices for growing consulting organizations.
• Proven ability to establish and scale AI-enabled or AI-native approaches within strategy and consulting environments.
• Excellent executive communication, storytelling, and presentation skills.
• Ability to navigate complex, matrixed organizations and influence stakeholders across multiple functions

Nice to have qualifications  

• External market presence through speaking engagements, published thought leadership, analyst engagement, or industry participation.
• Experience working across brand, marketing, data, and technology transformation initiatives.
• Established relationships with strategic alliance or technology partners.
• Experience supporting global clients and large-scale transformation programs.

The benefits  

This is a Full time position based in Canada. The offered salary range is $170,000 CAD - $230, 000 CAD  annually, depending on experience and location. 

Valtech offers a comprehensive benefits package effective after three months of continuous service:

• A comprehensive insurance plan, where you can choose the module that best suits your needs-Gold, Silver, or Bronze. The employer may contribute up to 80% of your coverage depending on the selected module. This plan includes short- and long-term disability coverage.
• Dialogue via Sun Life provides virtual healthcare services, allowing you to consult with a healthcare professional for emergencies, prescription renewals, and more. You also have access to the Employee and Family Assistance Program, as well as a complete mental health support program.
• A $500 Personal Spending Account, which can be used for healthcare reimbursements, gym memberships, public transit passes, office supplies, or contributions to your RRSP through Valtech.
• A retirement plan where Valtech will match 100% of your RRSP contributions through a Deferred Profit Sharing Plan (DPSP), up to a maximum of 4%. You can start contributing to your RRSP immediately, and to the DPSP after 3 months. The vesting of the DPSP will be after a 24 months of service. 
• Access to a flexible vacation under Valtech's policy to support your work-life balance, with 5 days available during your probation period and a prorated amount calculated for the remainder of the year.
• Personal Technology Reimbursement - $30/month for every employee-offered on day 1. 
• We close during the winter holidays and offer flexible scheduling throughout the year, so you can enjoy those sunny Friday afternoons-provided your weekly hours are completed.
