Apply today and be part of something bigger.\nLocation: Base Metal Refinery, Rustenburg\nNumber of vacancies: 1\n The purpose of this role is to ensure that the control solution is reliable and fit for purpose to meet the metallurgical and safety requirements of the operation. The role requires a high level of technical competency in instrumentation, networks and control systems and will require that the Senior Engineer C&I maintains their knowledge of control system developments.\nJob responsibilities include (but are not limited to):\nSafety\nOversee consistent application of Safety & Health principles in all discipline interactions and take personal responsibility for safety of self and others to ensure zero harm and elimination of fatalities.\nPerformance and Delivery\nMaintain the control solution including the instrumentation, control networks, hardware, and software.\nEnsure that maintenance plans are in place for all control system equipment.\nIdentify improvement opportunities for the control solution.\nIdentify and register appropriate SIB (Stay in Business) project to improve the solution and ensure it remains fit for purpose.\nManage the Control and Instrumentation team to ensure an effective control solution.\nAdhere to Anglo American Platinum’s standards and procedures.\nAdhere to Anglo American’s and Operational Management of Change standards and procedures.\nManage the C&I budget for the operation to ensure that the control solution remains fit for purpose.\nPeople & Teams\nImplement a purpose-driven, high-performing culture that is aligned with the company values, is inclusive and promotes diversity, supports engagement, and fosters continuous improvement to work processes\nCompliance\nEnsure compliance of the discipline with internal and external (legislative, regulatory, permitting) requirements\nThis role is at a GBF 6 level reporting to the Senior Engineering Manager\n Minimum National Diploma Electrical, Electronic or Instrument Engineering (NQF Level 6)\nBSc/BEng in Electrical, Electronic, Computer or Instrument Engineering is desirable\nCertificate\nRegistered as a Profession Engineer with ECSA (Engineering Council of South Africa) or registered as a Professional Engineering Technologist with ECSA\nGCC Factories and works is desirable\nValid driver’s license\nExperience\n10 years' work experience in control and instrumentation\n5 years relevant management experience\n5 years’ experience with fieldbus technologies (e.g. Profibus, Profinet, Ethernet/IP, …)\nTechnical Knowledge\nAdvanced computer literacy\nEthernet networking\nFluent English literacy\nKnowledge of applicable laws, standards and specifications.\n Who We Are\nWe are a Southern African PGM producer, marketing metals globally, with a presence across 8 regions and 17 sites.
