Apply today and be part of something bigger.\n Number of positions: 3 (12 months FTC)\nLocation of positions: Mototolo Borwa\nIn line with business requirements, consideration will be given exclusively to Mototolo Business Partners.\nAs Shift Supervisor Mining you will focus on safe quality of work, achieving of production targets, housekeeping, supervising and coordinating support functions. Below are some of the key responsibilities critical to the role.\nKey responsibilities of this role are:\nEnsure the maintenance of proper discipline of all persons under your charge.\nDaily on-the-job coaching and on-site training sessions should be conducted and captured in the logbook.\nProvide and maintain a working environment that is safe and without undue risk to the health of employees within your area of responsibility.\nMake use of the latest Risk Matrix provided in the logbook to assess and eliminate or reduce risks\nEnsure that you and the persons under your charge are empowered to stop any working place when the Occupational Health and/or Safety of any such persons are endangered in terms of section 23 of the MHSA.\nConsider an employee’s training and capability, knowledge and skill in respect of Health and Safety before allowing such person to continue with his work or before assigning specific or specialized tasks to that employee.\nAssist in the control over the proper safe operation and running of machinery and equipment in your area of responsibility.\nThis role is at C5 level reporting to the Mine Overseer. \n Grade 10\nNational Certificate NQF Level 3 Rock Breaker or Valid Blasting Certificate for underground (Hard Rock)\nShift Supervisor Certificate \nExperience:\n3 years’ experience as a mechanised miner\nAt least 3 years’ experience as a Mechanised Shift Supervisor (Shift Boss) - advantageous\nAdditional requirements:\nComputer literacy\nFirst Aid Certificate\nValid certificate of fitness for underground work\n What We Offer\nAt Valterra Platinum, you will join a team committed to excellence and impact.\nWe offer:\nMeaningful work in a high-performance, values-led environment.\nMarket-aligned reward and recognition.\nOpportunities for learning, development and progression.\nA culture that respects diversity and encourages innovation.\nA clear commitment to safe Operations.\nInclusion and Diversity\nValterra Platinum is an equal opportunities employer.
