We deliver quality products that perform in demanding environments.\nValto is currently seeking an Indirect Buyer - Joliet, IL. This role is responsible for leading all indirect sourcing activities for goods and services at the Goshen production site. The Buyer will drive cost efficiency and productivity by identifying low-cost sourcing opportunities, ensuring contract compliance, managing vendor relationships, and maintaining appropriate inventory levels for non-production materials.\nAdditionally, this position will provide cross-site support by serving as a backup to Indirect Buyers at other locations as needed.\nHow you’ll make an impact:\nIdentify and source suppliers for indirect goods and services for the Joliet production site. Facilitate negotiation of contracts and agreements, ensuring favorable terms and total cost of ownership for the company.\nIssue and track purchase orders for indirect materials and services. Coordinate with various site internal teams to ensure accurate, cost-effective, and timely fulfillment.\nPartner with other Valto production sites to aggregate products to drive lower cost of ownership through leveraged buying arrangements.\nEnsure compliance with budgets and forecast future site purchasing needs.\nMeasure and communicate opportunities and savings both internally and externally.\nMeasure supplier performance and internal participation in all initiatives.\nTrack site spend and report cost savings and supplier performance through a standardized set of KPI’s.\nResolve issues related to site Indirect product and service quality, delivery, or payment.\nCommunicate project updates to all stakeholders\nLeader for positive change.\nWhat you bring to the table:\nCollege degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field preferred\nMinimum 2-5 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or other operations or supply chain role, preferably in a manufacturing environment \nAbility to analyze costs and drive savings opportunities\nCapital/MRO procurement experience a plus\nSolid Communication and Inter-personal Skills\nStrong initiative/ self-starter\nAbility to work in a matrixed environment\nWe offer a comprehensive total rewards package that includes bonus eligibility and a competitive benefits program.
