Within the Backend Platform team, you will work on a stable, reliable, secure and future-ready IT infrastructure. The role focuses on our continued move towards Azure infrastructure services, while also ensuring that the remaining on-premises systems are managed securely and reliably during the transition.\nIn this role, you are not only technically strong, but you also take ownership. You help guide improvements, support colleagues, work on complex issues and make sure our platforms continue to meet requirements for availability, security, lifecycle management and scalability. You work closely with fellow engineers, architects, security teams and other IT departments to deliver lasting solutions.\nYour responsibilities include:\nLead and improve the management, security and further development of backend platforms.\n\nHandle and coordinate complex technical incidents, including structural improvement actions.\n\nInitiate and carry out lifecycle management, patching and security improvement activities.\n\nDesign, build and improve platform solutions based on existing standards, guidelines and procedures.\n\nAutomate management processes and recurring tasks, using tools such as PowerShell and DevOps pipelines.\n\nActively contribute to monitoring, alerting, documentation and the manageability of the platforms.\n\nWork with architects, security teams and other platform teams to apply guidelines and principles correctly.\n\nCoach and support colleagues with technical questions, ways of working and quality improvements.\n\nContribute to cross-team and cross-department initiatives related to infrastructure, security and cloud.\n\nContribute to cost-aware and future-focused platform management, including attention to Azure and hybrid environments.\n\nTake part in on-call duties and work outside regular service windows when needed.\n\nYour talents\nAnalytical, technically strong and able to connect people. You involve colleagues, make complex topics understandable and encourage the team to keep improving.\nIn addition:\nYou have broad experience in managing, securing and improving Windows Server platforms and hybrid infrastructures.\n\nYou have strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure and modern platform services. In addition, proven hands-on experience with Active Directory, SCOM, SCCM and on-premises technologies is a must. These skills are essential for managing our hybrid environment securely and reliably during the transition to cloud.\n\nYou have strong experience with scripting and automation, preferably with PowerShell.\n\nYou can work independently with Azure DevOps and help others use pipelines, PBIs and release processes.\n\nYou have proven experience with lifecycle management, patching, hardening and security improvements.\n\nYou are able to analyse, resolve and structurally improve complex technical problems.\n\nYou can coach colleagues, provide technical direction and actively share knowledge within and outside the team.\n\nYou communicate clearly with engineers, architects, security specialists and stakeholders from other teams.\n\nYou have a proactive attitude and take ownership of platform quality, continuity and improvements.\n\nYou follow new technologies and can translate their impact into our platform environment.\n\nYou have an affinity with AI tools and understand how they can support engineering, documentation, testing or management processes.\n\nYou have a good command of English, both spoken and written.\n\nMove ahead at Van Lanschot Kempen\nInvesting in a more future-oriented, sustainable, and data-driven way with various clients.
