Our Quant Developer Internship gives you the opportunity to develop your potential to the fullest.\nYou will work closely with portfolio managers, traders and quants across Treasury, Investment Management, and Risk Management respectively, on problems that are both technically challenging and financially meaningful. The scope of your work and the stakeholders you engage with will vary continuously, giving you broad exposure and plenty of room to keep learning. You will have the opportunity to influence your own scope of work, in order to develop skills in- and outside your comfort zone.\nYour responsibilities include:\nExploring and introducing new programming languages, techniques, and tools within the team\n\nContributing to our codebase on a higher level instead of individual projects only (e.g. creating a general infrastructure layer for a newly adopted web application framework)\n\nImprove the interconnectedness between the quant team and the IT department\n\nBuilding data solutions in which you are responsible for every building block; creating the database structure, the frontend for the user and all the intermediate code\n\nYour talents\nYou have a strong technical foundation and the drive to apply it in a financial context. You are independent, precise, and not afraid to ask the right questions.\nQualifications:\nYou are in the final stage of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Econometrics, or equivalent\n\nExcellent programming skills in Python; experience with SQL, Git, or MATLAB is a plus\n\nStrong numerical and analytical ability\n\nGood command of English, written and spoken\n\nAvailable full-time for a minimum period of 5 months\n\nMove ahead at Van Lanschot Kempen\nInvesting in a more future-oriented, sustainable, and data-driven way with various clients.
