Management\nOversight of all VUSN space-related needs and opportunities, on-site and off\nIdentify routine maintenance issues and work with internal facility resources to address\nProblem solves urgent maintenance needs directly, or in consultation with Assistant Dean for Administration & Operations, concerning staffing, utilization of facilities, maintenance issues and/or use of equipment/funds\nServes as School of Nursing liaison to Plant Operations and Environmental Services\nCommunicate important facility-related events and issues with faculty/staff/students\nResponsible for VUSN bi-annual space survey\nServe as VUSN representative to the VU Emergency Preparedness/Response Program\nActs as liaison to VU Card office to establish, maintain and schedule building and room access\nMaintain and issue keys for faculty/staff/students\nWork with VUSN leadership and VU Real Estate office regarding off-site leases (as appropriate)\nResponsible for beginning/end of employment and related check-in/out procedures for faculty/staff/students which includes distribution/return of keys and ID badges, and granting/cancelling access to buildings and copiers\nManage copy program and related supply ordering and act as equipment maintenance point of contact\nDevelop and make recommendations for procedural changes that streamline programs and processes\nAct as a resource for faculty/staff/students related to interpretation of facility-related policy/procedure\nEnsure all policies/procedures are in compliance with University and VUSN guidelines\nPrepare facility-related data for reports, meetings, grant submissions, etc.\nMonitor security cameras for VUSN facilities as appropriate\nSpace Management\nWork with Assistant Dean for Administration & Operations regarding office assignments as needed, which includes facilitating all office renovations including moves and scheduling, and assisting faculty/staff moves in conjunction with IT team\nMaintain office, floor and elevator signage and directories and update as necessary\nCoordinate with Senior Coordinator of Reservations and System Management on rental and overall usage of VUSN space\nServe as backup for room reservation and scheduling\nAssist with setup/take down for special events (tables, chairs, etc.)\nEnsure all storage facilities within VUSN are properly maintained\nFacility Budget Management\nEstablish, manage and monitor annual budget for day-to-day operations, as well as construction-based projects which includes reviewing for any discrepancies/variance and correct as needed\nProvide monthly copier use and change reports to VUSN departments\nMonitor building-related funds to ensure restricted building fund accounts are utilized to their fullest extent based on the intent of the donor\nOrdering building supplies and equipment as needed\nConstruction Management\nParticipate in all construction-related planning and operational meetings to achieve overall project goals within the established budgetary guidelines\nServe as key point of contact for construction-related supervisors/foremen and act as on-site liaison\nWork daily with on-site construction team to coordinate facility needs and any implications to classes or personnel\nCommunity with faculty/staff/students with pertinent information related to disruptions to daily activity, regarding construction safety\nMiscellaneous Duties\nAttend appropriate VU faculty-related meetings and report key issues to leadership\nPerform other duties as assigned\nSupervisory Relationships\nThis position has supervisory responsibility for the Senior Coordinator of Reservations & Scheduling.\nEducation and Certifications\nBachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education is necessary.\nMaster's degree from an accredited institution of higher education is preferred.\nProject Management certification is preferred.\nExperience and Skills\nOutstanding verbal and written communication skills are required.\nStrong problem-solving and organization skills are required.\nExcellent interpersonal skills are required.\nSupervisory experience is preferred.\nStrong computer skills are required.\nFive years of experience in facilities management is highly
