This roleis responsible forensuring high system uptime, customer satisfaction, and technical excellence across Vanderlande’s installed parcel systems.\nEssential Functions:\nThe role is split between:\nField Operations (50%) - preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance support, including supervision of small projects and customer launch activities.\nTechnical Support & SME Functions (50%) - advanced troubleshooting, escalation support, technical training, and subject matterexpertise.\nThis position requires a highly skilled electro-mechanical professional with strong troubleshooting capabilities and a customer-focused mindset.\nField Service & Customer Support (50%)\nPerform preventive maintenance visits and system inspections at customer sites on a scheduled basis.\n\nExecute corrective maintenance activities, ensuringtimelyresolution within defined service windows.\n\nRespond to emergency service calls with minimal notice to restore operational continuity.\n\nDiagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, andcontrols-related issues on parcel handling systems.\n\nAct as a Field Supervisor for small RMR (Repair, Maintenance, Retrofit) projects, including:\n\nCoordinating on-site activities\n\nManaging subcontractors and site safety\n\nEnsuring quality andtimelydelivery\n\nMaintain clear documentation of service activities, findings, and recommendations.\n\nBuild strong customer relationships through professional on-site engagement.\n\nTechnical Support & SME Function (50%)\nProvide 2nd and 3rd line technical support for service desk escalations and customer cases.\n\nLead or support complex troubleshooting and root cause analysis activities remotely or on-site.\n\nHandle technical service requests, including system optimization, upgrades, and modifications.\n\nServe as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for parcel systems within the organization.\n\nDeliver technical training programs:\n\nAt the Innovation Center in Marietta\n\nOn-site at customer facilities\n\nSupport internal teams (service, engineering, sales) with technicalexpertiseand best practices.\n\nContribute to continuous improvement initiatives, documentation, and knowledge sharing.\n\nQualifications & Experience:\nAssociate’sorBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).\n\nMinimum 3-5 years of experience supporting electromechanical or material handling systems.\n\nStrong knowledge of:\nElectrical systems (PLCs, controls, sensors, drives)\n\nMechanical systems (conveyors, motors, assemblies)\n\nTroubleshooting methodologies\n\nAbility to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced environments.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n5+ years supporting automated material handling or parcel systems.\n\nExperience in parcel,logistics, or material handling industries.\n\nFamiliarity with Siemens or Allen-Bradley PLC diagnostics.\n\nExperience supervising field projects or delivering technical training.\n\nCompetencies:\nStrong communicationand customer service skills.\n\nExcellent analytical and troubleshooting abilities.\n\nSolution-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving skills.\n\nAbility to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing business needs.\n\nTravel Requirements\nTravelup to 50% across North America isrequired, including short-notice assignments and customer site support.
