In this newly created role, you will design and implement the frameworks, processes, and governance needed to identify, assess, monitor, and mitigate supplier-related risks across our global supply base.\nThis is not a legal compliance role. Instead, we are looking for someone who understands risk management, can translate complex requirements into practical processes, and has the ability to engage stakeholders across the business to drive adoption and accountability.\nYou will operate at the intersection of Procurement, Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), Sustainability, Cyber Security, Quality, and Legal, helping Vanderlande stay ahead of emerging risks while maintaining compliance with global regulations.\nWhat you will do\nAs Procurement Risk Manager, you will establish and drive Vanderlande's supplier risk management approach. You will work across our global procurement organization to ensure supplier risks are identified, assessed, prioritized, reported, and managed effectively.\nYou will translate regulatory requirements, enterprise risk frameworks, and business needs into practical supplier risk processes that can be embedded into day-to-day procurement activities.\nThis is a highly visible role with global impact, offering the opportunity to build new capabilities from the ground up while influencing senior stakeholders across the organization.\nKey Responsibilities\nDevelop and Drive Supplier Risk Management\nDesign and implement Vanderlande's supplier risk management framework \nDefine risk assessment methodologies, processes, governance structures, and reporting mechanisms \nEstablish risk monitoring processes across the supplier lifecycle \nEnsure supplier risks are systematically identified, assessed, mitigated, and monitored \nTranslate Regulatory Requirements into Action\nDrive implementation of supplier-related regulatory requirements including areas such as: \nCyber Security \nProduct and material compliance (including PFAS, REACH, RoHS and similar regulations) \nSustainability and ESG requirements \nTrade compliance and sanctions \nEmerging global supply chain regulations \nConvert complex requirements into practical procurement processes and controls \nEnsure compliance obligations are embedded into supplier management practices \nBuild Supplier Risk Insights\nDefine supplier risk categories, scoring methodologies, and risk indicators \nEstablish dashboards, KPIs, and reporting for leadership and governance forums \nSupport the development of supplier risk profiles covering areas such as cyber security, regulatory compliance, sustainability, geopolitical exposure, and operational resilience \nProvide insights that enable risk-based decision making \nDrive Cross-Functional Collaboration\nAct as the key procurement interface towards Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) \nWork closely with Procurement, Cyber Security, Sustainability, Legal, Quality, Engineering, and Business stakeholders \nAlign risk management activities across functions and regions \nCreate awareness and engagement around supplier risk management throughout the organization \nLead Change and Capability Building\nDrive adoption of supplier risk processes across procurement teams \nDevelop clear guidance, standards, and operating procedures \nSupport procurement teams and business stakeholders in applying risk frameworks \nPromote a pragmatic and risk-based approach to decision making \nWhat You Bring\nWe are looking for a professional who combines strong analytical capabilities with the ability to influence and drive change across a complex international organization.\nYou bring:\n5+ years of experience in Supplier Risk Management, Procurement, Supply Chain, Compliance, Enterprise Risk Management, or a related field \nExperience developing and implementing risk management frameworks, governance structures, or compliance programs \nUnderstanding of supplier-related risks, such as cyber security, regulatory compliance, sustainability, sanctions, or operational risks \nAbility to translate complex requirements into practical and scalable processes \nStrong stakeholder management and communication skills \nExperience influencing senior stakeholders in a matrix organization \nExcellent project and program management capabilities \nStrong analytical mindset with attention to detail \nA pragmatic approach and the ability to balance risk management with business needs \nNice to have:\nExperience with Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) frameworks \nKnowledge of regulations such as PFAS, REACH, RoHS, CSRD, EUDR, Cyber Security, or similar regulatory domains \nExperience with supplier risk assessment tools or procurement technology platforms \nAbout the Team\nYou will join the Procurement Strategy Office (PSO), a newly established global team focused on Procurement Strategy, Sustainability, Risk Management, and Business Transformation.\nThe team currently consists of eight professionals with global responsibilities.
