Do you enjoy working in a highly dynamic manufacturing environment where innovation, prototyping, pilot builds, and industrialization projects are becoming an increasingly important part of the business? \nAbout the role\nAs a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting Vanderlande's transition towards a manufacturing organization that not only produces high-quality products but also enables the successful introduction of new technologies, products, and processes. You will act as a facilitator, coach, and quality expert, ensuring that risks are identified early, lessons are translated into sustainable improvements, and robust processes are developed that support future growth.\nWhat will you do?\nAs part of the Manufacturing Quality Assurance team, you will be responsible for driving proactive quality assurance activities across the factory. You will have a strong focus on new product introduction (NPI), industrialization projects, process improvements, supplier management and operational excellence.\nYou will work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and the Operations teams to ensure that quality is built into every stage of production. \nKey responsibilities\nQuality risk management\nLead and facilitate Product and Process Failure Mode and Effects Analyses (FMEA) to proactively identify and mitigate risks.\n\nCapture and translate lessons learned from projects into standardized processes and best practices.\n\nPromote a risk-based mindset across manufacturing and industrialization activities to enhance product and process reliability.\n\nRoot Cause Analysis & Continuous Improvement\nDrive Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations for quality, reliability, and manufacturing process issues.\n\nApply structured problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, A3, PDCA, and Ishikawa to resolve complex challenges.\n\nCoach cross-functional teams in effective problem-solving and continuous improvement techniques.\n\nEnsure corrective and preventive actions are implemented, monitored, and sustained to prevent recurrence.\n\nIndustrialization & New Product Introduction\nSupport prototype builds, pilot runs, and industrialization projects to ensure successful product launches.\n\nCollaborate closely with engineering teams to translate design requirements into efficient and robust manufacturing processes.\n\nEmbed quality requirements throughout process development and new product introduction phases to achieve first-time-right execution.\n\nProcess Improvement & Manufacturing Excellence\nAnalyze manufacturing performance and quality data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.\n\nLead initiatives that enhance process standardization, robustness, and operational excellence across manufacturing operations.\n\nContribute to the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of quality standards, procedures, and best practices.\n\nWhat do we ask from you?\nWe are looking for an enthusiastic and analytical professional who enjoys working in a technical and project-driven environment.\nYou bring:\nHBO degree or higher in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.\n\nExperience with or strong interest in FMEA facilitation and risk management methodologies.\n\nExperience in Root Cause Analysis and structured problem-solving methods (8D, PDCA, A3, Lean Six Sigma, etc.).\n\nStrong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and translate findings into practical improvements.\n\nExcellent communication and facilitation skills.\n\nThe ability to influence stakeholders across different functions and organizational levels.\n\nExperience in a manufacturing, industrialization, or engineering environment.\n\nA proactive, hands-on attitude and willingness to spend time on the manufacturing floor.\n\nFluent Dutch and English communication skills, both written and verbal.\n\nWhat we offer\nWe offer a position in an informal, international, and professional working environment with plenty of opportunities for personal development.\nIn addition, we offer:\nA gross monthly salary between €4,300 and €5,200, with opportunities for further growth.\n\n40 vacation days per year (20 statutory days and 20 flexible days through a flexible benefits budget).\n\nTravel allowance, including full reimbursement of public transport costs.\n\nAn excellent pension scheme and discounts on supplementary health insurance.\n\nA Health & Wellbeing budget of €300 per calendar year.\n\nAccess to our on-site health center, including fitness facilities, physiotherapy, and occupational therapy.\n\nLearning and development opportunities through the Vanderlande Academy.\n\nContact\nCan you see yourself becoming part of our team?
