You will work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver high-quality control solutions using Siemens PLC technologies while ensuring compliance with engineering standards and project timelines.\nJoin our Controls Engineering team and contribute to the development of world-class automation solutions powering airports, warehouses, and parcel logistics systems across the globe.\nWhat you will do/Key Responsibilities:\nLead the design and development of LLC software using Siemens TIA Portal and Vanderlande's controls architecture.\n\nDevelop PLC applications from scratch using Statement List (STL) programming.\n\nDesign, configure, program, test, and document complex control applications and subsystems.\n\nDevelop reusable control modules and enhance standard PLC software libraries.\n\nCreate functional specifications and detailed technical documentation based on customer requirements.\n\nApply engineering standards, software development procedures, and quality guidelines throughout the project lifecycle.\n\nLead system integration, validation, and testing activities involving PLC, SCADA, Safety PLC, and Equipment Management systems.\n\nDevelop diagnostic, simulation, and emulation tools to improve testing and commissioning efficiency.\n\nIndependently manage commissioning activities in collaboration with site supervisors and project leaders.\n\nEnsure complete and high-quality Service Take Over (STO) documentation.\n\nTroubleshoot complex automation issues and implement robust control solutions.\n\nSupport risk mitigation and resolve multidisciplinary technical challenges.\n\nProvide technical leadership to Controls Engineers within project teams.\n\nParticipate in customer meetings, technical reviews, and engineering audits.\n\nSupport project planning, effort estimation, budgeting, and timely project delivery.\n\nDrive continuous improvement of engineering processes, products, and control platforms.\n\nPromote software development best practices, documentation standards, and knowledge sharing.\n\nCoordinate multidisciplinary engineering activities to ensure seamless system integration.\n\nWhat you bring:\n10-12 years of experience in Industrial Automation and PLC Engineering.\n\nStrong expertise in Siemens TIA Portal for PLC development, diagnostics, and commissioning.\n\nExpert-level programming experience using Statement List (STL).\n\nStrong experience with:\nSCADA systems\n\nSiemens HMI development and scripting\n\nSiemens Safety PLC programming\n\nSiemens Proneta for diagnostics and version management\n\nAdvanced knowledge of:\nProfinet\n\nProfibus\n\nAS-i communication protocols\n\nPLC pointers and indirect addressing\n\nExperience in:\nPLC software architecture\n\nSystem integration\n\nFactory Acceptance Testing (FAT)\n\nSite commissioning\n\nExposure to Rockwell Studio 5000 is an added advantage.\n\nExperience working on international automation projects is preferred.\n\nStrong analytical, troubleshooting, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.\n\nWillingness to travel 50-70% for project commissioning and customer support.\n\nQualifications:\nB.E. / B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation Engineering.\n\nDegree from a recognized university.\n\nAbout Vanderlande:\nVanderlande is a global market leader in future-proof logistic process automation for airports, parcel services, and warehouse solutions.
