Are you a people-oriented leader with technical affinity who knows how to manage suppliers, contracts and facility operations?\nAt Vanderlande, we are looking for a service-driven Team Lead Facilities who will help us provide more than 3,100 employees with a great place to work every day.\nWhat you will do\nAs Team Lead Facilities, you are responsible for leading the Hard Services team and ensuring that our buildings, technical installations and facilities remain safe, reliable and fully operational.\nYou lead a team of three Facility Coordinators and report to the Facility Manager. You also work closely with the Team Lead Soft Services. Together, you ensure the smooth operation and continuous development of the Vanderlande Campus in Veghel.\nYour scope includes building management, electrical installations, climate control systems, fire safety equipment and technical maintenance. You are not expected to carry out technical work yourself, but you have enough technical knowledge to understand what needs to be done, challenge proposals and give clear assignments to external partners.\nYou are a visible and approachable leader who knows what is happening across the campus. You coach your team, build strong relationships with employees and suppliers, and ensure that services are delivered according to the agreed quality, budget and legal requirements.\nYou combine a hands-on mentality with strong contract and supplier management. When something needs attention, you take ownership and make sure it gets resolved. You manage an annual facilities budget of approximately €1.5 million and ensure that resources are used effectively.\nIn addition, you contribute to the continued development of the Campus Veghel. You identify opportunities for improvement, coordinate maintenance and facility projects, and help create a future-proof workplace that supports both our employees and business objectives.\nResponsibilities\nYour responsibilities include:\nLeading, coaching and developing a team of three Facility Coordinators.\nConducting performance, development and appraisal conversations.\nCoordinating the daily activities of the Hard Services team.\nEnsuring a safe, comfortable and reliable working environment for more than 3,100 employees.\nManaging building maintenance, electrical installations, climate control systems, fire safety equipment and other technical facilities.\nCoordinating preventive and corrective maintenance activities.\nReviewing technical proposals, quotations, maintenance reports and supplier recommendations.\nTranslating technical requirements into clear assignments for external service providers.\nManaging contracts and monitoring supplier performance, including KPIs, service agreements and long-term maintenance plans.\nEnsuring that suppliers deliver the agreed quality within the required timelines and budget.\nManaging and monitoring an annual facilities budget of approximately €1.5 million.\nEnsuring compliance with applicable health and safety requirements, legislation and internal standards.\nCoordinating small facility projects and improvements across the buildings and campus.\nIdentifying and implementing opportunities to improve service quality, efficiency and sustainability.\nContributing to the continued development of the Vanderlande Campus in Veghel.\nAbout the team\nYou will lead a team of three Facility Coordinators who take care of the daily coordination of facility activities. They resolve smaller operational matters themselves and manage several smaller facility contracts.\nYou will work closely with the Facility Manager, the Team Lead Soft Services and a broad network of internal stakeholders, suppliers and maintenance partners.\nTogether, the Facilities team is responsible for providing a safe, pleasant and inspiring working environment. Hard Services focuses on technical installations, building management and fire safety equipment, while Soft Services covers services such as cleaning, catering and hospitality.\nWhat you bring\nTo be successful in this role, you should bring:\nAn MBO+ or Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, Facility Management or a related field.\nA technical educational background or demonstrable technical affinity.\nApproximately five to seven years of relevant experience in facility management, building services or technical operations.\nAlternatively, a Bachelor’s degree combined with at least two years of relevant work experience.\nExperience in leading, coordinating or coaching employees.\nAffinity with technical building systems, including electrical installations, climate control systems and building maintenance.\nExperience in contract management, supplier management and budget control.\nThe ability to understand technical requirements and translate them into clear assignments for external partners.\nA service-oriented and people-focused approach.\n Fluency in Dutch (spoken and written) is a mandatory requirement for this position.\nProfessional proficiency in English.\nStrong communication and stakeholder management skills.\nA proactive and practical mindset, with the ability to take ownership and deliver solutions.\nThe ability to balance employee experience, technical requirements, costs and compliance.\nWe are looking for a people-oriented leader who understands technology, enjoys working with employees and suppliers, and knows how to turn facility challenges into practical solutions.
