infrastructure patterns across development, test, and production environments.\nManage Kubernetes and container platforms supporting distributed workloads.\nDrive infrastructure standardization, resiliency, disaster recovery, and capacity planning.\nContinuously improve platform observability, monitoring, logging, and operational readiness.\nDevOps & Automation\nEstablish and evolve CI/CD pipelines and engineering automation practices.\nDrive Infrastructure-as-Code adoption using modern provisioning and configuration-management frameworks.\nAutomate deployment, environment management, compliance validation, and operational processes.\nImprove engineering productivity through tooling, platform services, and self-service capabilities.\nDefine and implement operational best practices for cloud-native application delivery.\nSecurity Engineering & Architecture Enablement\nPartner with Enterprise Security and application teams to design secure platform architectures.\nEnable implementation of security controls, vulnerability remediation, identity management, encryption, network segmentation, and cloud governance frameworks.\nSupport regulatory, audit, risk, and compliance and support integrations with Vanguard enterprise platforms and external vendors.\nBuild secure and scalable connectivity patterns across cloud and on-premises environments.\nEnable data exchange, APIs, messaging, file transfer, and service integrations.\nPartner with business and technology stakeholders to evaluate emerging technology solutions and integration opportunities.\nInnovation, Architecture & Proof of Concepts\nLead technical evaluations, proofs of concept, and pilot initiatives supporting strategic platform evolution.\nAssess new technologies, cloud services, engineering tools, and architecture patterns.\nCollaborate with product, research, and engineering teams to accelerate innovation.\nInfluence long-term platform architecture and modernization roadmaps.\nOperational Excellence\nServe as a senior escalation point for complex production issues and platform incidents.\nLead root cause analysis, remediation planning, and reliability improvements.\nEstablish service-level objectives, operational metrics, and reliability standards.\nReduce operational risk through automation, standardization, and improved engineering practices.\nEnsure platform services meet performance, availability, scalability, and recoverability objectives.\nTechnical Leadership\nProvide architecture guidance and technical leadership across infrastructure and platform domains.\nMentor engineers and promote engineering excellence throughout the organization.\nLead design reviews and infrastructure governance processes.\nChampion modern engineering practices and continuous improvement.\nQualifications\nRequired\n10+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, platform engineering, DevOps, cloud engineering, or related fields.\nDeep expertise with AWS cloud services and cloud-native architectures.\nStrong experience operating Kubernetes-based platforms in production environments.\nExpertise in Infrastructure-as-Code and automation frameworks.\nExperience designing secure, highly available distributed systems.\nStrong Linux, networking, and systems engineering background.\nExperience implementing CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices.\nExperience supporting mission-critical production systems with high availability requirements.\nStrong understanding of information security, cloud security, and risk management principles.\nProven ability to lead complex technical initiatives across multiple teams.\nExcellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.\nPreferred\nExperience within asset management, wealth management, trading, or investment platforms.\nExperience with Terraform, Kubernetes (EKS), Docker, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar technologies.\nExperience supporting enterprise cloud migrations and large-scale modernization programs.\nExperience with observability platforms, monitoring solutions, and SRE practices.\nFamiliarity with financial services regulatory
