Even with Vanguard’s state of the art technology, vast manufacturing capability, and leading-edge information tools, we wake up every day thinking about how best to serve our customers, suppliers, and the communities in which we live.\nThe Quality managers provides quality management leadership and collaborates with senior management to ensure high product quality through the planning, administration, and support of ISO and ITAR requirements that support business objectives.\nWhat you’ll do:\nEnsure quality plans comply with the Quality System.\nServe as primary interface with customers and suppliers on quality issues including formal responses to customer corrective action requests.\nStop delivery of product which does not comply with supplier, customer or quality requirements.\nLead organization in continuous process improvement including quality, cost and cycle times.\nProvide technical support and implement specific quality improvement plans across functional groups.\nBring suspect and non-conforming material dispositions to closure.\nDetermine and implement appropriate statistical techniques, inspection policy, and testing policy.\nManage and optimize Facility Clearance workflows, providing vital hands-on support or leadership as an FSO, AFSO, or Insider Threat Program Senior Official (ITPSO).\nImplement the control of non-conforming product policy, material review board procedure, corrective and preventive action policy, and document control process; perform other duties as assigned.\nWhat you’ll need:\nIntermediate proficiency in computer systems, including MS Office, data entry, and graphic applications\nAlgebra and geometry (shop math); understanding of all aspects of world-class manufacturing.\nExcellent problem solving, customer service, high-level critical thinking, analysis, and organization.\nAbility to initiate process improvements, apply Lean concepts, and deploy problem-solving techniques.\nAbility to interface and comfortably work with all functional areas affected by the Quality System.\nExcellent communication skills, both written and oral.\nCommunicate in person, over the phone, email, internet or in writing in a positive, professional manner \nPeriodic travel may be required.\nExisting Secret level clearance or ability and willingness to obtain clearance.\nRequirements\nEducation and/or Experience\nBachler’s Degree \n5-years’ experience within Quality Management Systems documentation and process requirements.\nExperience and working knowledge of production and support processes required.\nExisting Secret level clearance or ability and willingness to obtain clearance.\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\nMaster’s degree in Business or related subject.\nISO9001 Internal Auditing Certification or equivalent.\nExperience in ISO9001, ISO13485, and/or AS9100.\n5+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment or as a Quality Manager or higher in a small- to mid-sized electronics manufacturing company.\nExperience as FSO, AFSO, or ITPSO\nBenefits\nEmployees enjoy a highly competitive benefits package including:\nMedical, Dental & Vision\n401K (with employer match)\nUp to 120 hours earned paid time off in the first year of employment\nPaid holidays\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee uses his/her hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, or crouch; talk or hear.
