Vanguard Renewables is a portfolio company of Global\nInfrastructure Partners (GIP), a part of BlackRock.\nReporting to the ORF Floor Manager, the (ORF) Organics Recycling Facility Operator performs\nskilled work that is necessary in operating the day-to-day functions of depackaging food waste.\nResponsibilities\nResponsible for the depackaging of food waste and products brought into the facility\nAssist with managing the daily truck loads\nCommunicates with team lead on daily depackaging workflow standards\nComplete daily rounds of equipment and capture process flows\nAccurately record all operational parameters and respond to unsatisfactory trends\nWrite work orders on work management software to track repairs and scheduled maintenance\nAssist in creating and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures\nSupports and promotes the philosophy of maintaining an accident/incident free workplace\nAdheres to, and has full working knowledge of, the company safety program. Will have limited oversight responsibility for outside contractors to ensure that they are working in a safe manner\nRegularly communicates with internal personnel to ensure facility has upmost productivity within capacity limits\nDemonstrates knowledge of and supports health and safety programs in all activities.\nAssist and supports outside contractors with on-site maintenance\nParticipate in plant housekeeping programs and material handling safety activities to ensure safe working conditions\nParticipate in the planning and execution of preventative maintenance activities\nReliable and on-time attendance\nOther duties as required\nRequirements\nSkills and Qualifications\nValid driver's license and ability to operate a motor vehicle is required\nAbility to regularly lift, move, push and/or pull objects weighing up to 50lbs\nAbility to operate heavy machinery/equipment including forklift\nHigh School Diploma Required\nPreferred Qualifications:\nMaintenance and operating experience in an industrial processing environment.\nOperational experience may be supplemented with military experience or training in a related field.\nA relevant background in safety procedures/practices.\nAble to quickly respond to rapidly changing conditions.\nAbility to analyze and interpret data and to make sound recommendations on conditions.\nFundamental proficiency in Windows-based applications (Outlook, Word, and Excel) on a PC or tablet required.\nWorking Conditions\nWork locations are industrial, indoor and outdoors.\nLimited exposure to hazardous materials and/or toxic fumes will require the use of approved personal protective equipment.
